Romo haters will get what they want soon enough...

Depends which team he signs with, but, yes, if he signs with a good team that protects him, he wins a Super Bowl. If he signed with the 49ers, that team would have a great shot at the Super Bowl. Tony's better than Alex Smith. Same thing with the Texans; he would be an upgrade there. If he signs with KC, doesn't happen. They're terrible.

I wish he would stick around and this team would get him great protection. Sheesh. We could be so much better with a real O-line.

If Romo gets away, then you trade up if necessary to see if you can draft the next Andrew Luck and you restart from square one, and start by building great lines!

I personally think there's a non zero chance he doesn't resign with us or sign with anyone else and just has a good time with his hot wife, child, and the money he hasn't blown like every other athlete.

Dude has plenty of hobbies. He obviously likes Dallas. If the team doesn't get better, I think I could see him just saying screw it and playing basketball at Lifetime fitness every afternoon after he finishes 18.

Jerry will outbid anyone else and Romo will retire a cowboy. The End.

Now lets talk about how we're going nowhere with Garrett and how the mediocrity will continue until Jerry brings in another head coach that demands control like Parcells did.

Yes Jerry will most certainly try to outbid. But its up to Romo to decide and maybe money won't be the issue.

However, I do agree with you about Garrett. Jones is too comfortable with Garrett and does as he pleases. We won't succeed unless we have a coach with full control of this team and nothing else. Jones is too meddlesome.

Not that I'd ever want to see Tony in another uniform, but I can't help but to imagine the rings he'd win if he put on a S.F 49ers jersey

Oh yes.. if only Tony got lucky enough to go to a team with a solid group of coaches, the best defense in the league AND a good WR group, AND an athletic pass catching TE, AND one of the top RB's in the game, ANDDD a good OL.

You give me great players at every other position and i'll go win you a super bowl for goodness sake. That's all Tony needs to truly be great, eh? An extremely great team in every other facet of the game? Who the hell wouldn't contend for super bowls every year? Any half decent QB could take that team deep into the postseason.. aka Alex Smith.

Some of you people need to go dunk your heads in the toilet.. no offense.

As much as I'd hate to see Romo leave and possibly win a Super Bowl with a different football team I think that may be what's best for both Tony and the Cowboys.

For Tony he's constantly getting drilled on a week in week out basis. The offensive line is horrible and has been for years. Yet and still Jerry continues to blatantly ignore it because he thinks we can win by being average in the trenches and good at the skilled positions. Obviously that doesn't work. If the Cowboys haven't fixed this joke of an offensive line by now what makes us think they will anytime soon?

For the Cowboys at some point you have to come to grips with reality and realize that this team has run it's course and isn't gonna win a Super Bowl. Do you really wanna handicap your franchise for years by giving Romo a huge contract when you know that in all likely hood you're not gonna win a Super Bowl? At some point you have to say listen we tried and tried and we couldn't get it done and we have to move on. Do the classy thing and let him finish his career on a team that has a legit shot at winning a Super Bowl while you as a football team rebuild the franchise by drafting a quarterback.

Speaking of coming to grips with reality.. as someone earlier stated, Tony has been hit more times than only 8 of the other starting QB's in the league. So actually, he's been relatively untouched relative to the rest of the league.

No offense, but I think you just proved their point: it takes a great TEAM to win a Super Bowl. Not just a good QB or a great QB but an entire TEAM of great people.

If Tony Romo and Alex Smith changed teams next year, the 49ers would do better with Romo than Smith, and the Cowboys would be even worse with Smith than with Romo.

Book it.

The point is.. any half decent QB can take a team who is pretty great in every facet of the game deep into the postseason. All you people crying and screaming that if Romo was on the Niners he'd contend for a super bowl.. well no kidding. Kyle Orten could go to that team and contend for a super bowl.. its not saying much for Romo like they think it is. Some of you don't seem to be grasping that.

I just posted in another thread that the problem on this team goes higher up the food chain than Romo.

Mark my words: if Tony goes to another team, he WILL win a Super Bowl with his new team.

I have to disagree. It's looking more and more like Romo will never win a Super Bowl because he still cannot take care of the football. He keeps making very costly mistakes. He did have a very good season statistically last year but his turnovers cost the Cowboys a few games that made the difference.

It's his ultra competitive nature that won't allow him to give up on a play by taking the sack or throwing it out of bounds.

Mark my words, if he goes to another team, he'll end up doing the same thing. The only way I see it differently is if he plays for an autocratic head coach like Parcells who would rein him in or bench him. Clearly, he doesn't fear Jason Garrett at all.

If Garrett were capable of benching Romo then that could help but he is not. The best thing Garrett could have done was bench Romo after the the second pick six and send him a strong message that everyone is accountable, including him.

Romo is clearly more talented than Orton but Orton may give us the best chance to win because he will take the sack and not turn the ball over. Our defense is good enough to get by with a QB who is a bus driver.

I disagree with just about everything you said. This team is 0-4 without Tony Romo and to even imply that Orton is the answer means you have not been paying attention to this team at all.

Orton wouldn't last five minutes with this offensive line. The only thing that keeps the offense going is Romo's ability to avoid the rush and escape the pocket.

I've heard that Andy Reid is a huge fan of Romo and thinks he would be awesome in a west coast offense. I tend to agree and think if Romo is on the Eagles they are instant contenders.

Fact is this thread was directed at fans like you. Enjoy it when Romo leaves because you won't be enjoying anything as soon as this team hits the field without him in Dallas.

Because he's so good at avoiding sacks and hits. Doesn't mean the offensive line is doing a good job. Tony is making them look alot better then they actually are as usual.

Exactly.

I mean it really seems like some people on here don't even watch the games. They most be going to the stadium because God knows the fans there go there for everything else but the game.

I think its pretty clear the job they are doing..

We should just release him.

Reading some of the posts today, it would make fans happy. He sucks!!!!

We don't deserve Romo.

Although I'm a fan. I hope he leaves us high and dry. So I can laugh at this fan base when we go through more torment than we ever experienced with Romo.

You want Orton? ok, you just might get your wish.
I'm with you on that one.

hahah...

Gotta love it when the 2nd string QB of any team becomes the fan favorite..

Geeze.. I can't believe how many brain cells I probably have lost by reading some of the moronic ******* quotes in the last 3 pages of this thread...

Carry on...
