I hate to negative but sometimes you just have to call it the way you see it no matter how painful it is to come to grips with. I can't see the Cowboys ever winning a Super Bowl with Tony Romo as their QB. We found out Sunday night dumping TO certainly hasn't made him a better QB or a better leader. Leaders are born not made everyone knows that. If Jerry wanted to dump someone for the betterment of the team he should have dumped the fat guy on the sidelines who can't coach worth a lick and has softened his team. Romo proved once again he is what he is a CHOKER! It's sad but true. The bigger the game and the more hype it has the worst Romo plays. The guy folds like a cheap suit everytime a game has great significance. It's been a trend with him ever since he fumbled that snap against Seattle in the playoffs in 06. The most discouraging thing is his big game meltdowns have gotten worse each year. You can always tell how important and game is and how much it means to Romo by the number of turnovers he has. There's no possible way a team can win a championship with a QB who consistently folds in big games. I can't think of any QB I've ever seen who could put up the numbers Romo does in less critical games and completely implode in games that have great importance. He simply can not handle the pressure of a big game. As bad as the defense has looked so far every game is going to come down to Romo having to make plays for the Cowboys to win. This has been the case ever since he became the starter. Even though we ran all over the Giants Sunday night the game still came down to Romo having to make plays. The Cowboys are going to live and die with his arm and that doesn't sound real Romo friendly.

Right now our D can't get a sack or a turnover or cover receivers. Good luck making the playoffs with a soft defense like that and a turnover machine at QB. Right now I'm not so sure our defense could even get a turnover against Romo. lol I could never invasion Romo pulling off what Eli and Rothlisberger did to win their championships. What we're seeing with Romo has been his history that's why he wasn't drafted and why the Cowboys have struggled in Dec. He can throw 4 TD passes one week for over 300 yards then turn around in a big game and turn the ball over 6 times with barely 150 yards. Last year against the Ravens in the last game at Texas Stadium Flacco a rookie outplayed him in a big game. Romo has alot of talent but he simply doesn't have what it takes between the ears to get it done when it really matters. He's never going to be Joe Montana or Roger Staubach. He wasn't blessed with that God given ability to rise to the occasion and play his best games in the games that matter most. The monkey on his back has got to be the size of King Kong. It put on another 20 lbs Sunday night. I can tell by Romo's post game comments that there's alot of self doubt going on in his head. When bad things start happening to player or a team it snow balls. This hump the Cowboys are trying to get over has turned into a mountain with some treacherous peaks. When and if the Cowboys ever win another SB It won't be with Tony Romo. I think that will become very clear to even the biggest homers and optimists after this Dec.

Romo helped give us the lead late in the game despite a poor performance. The defense tired out at the end and couldn't get the game winning stop.

How lucky were the Giants (Steve Smith I believe it was) to get that deflected ball fall right into his hands to extend the drive that led to their game winning FG? That was just one of a couple lucky bounces the Giants received in the game.

Mom said their'd be days like this!

You can look at the game anyway you want to help make yourself feel better but the fact is Romo had 3 turnovers and his poor play was clearly the reason the Cowboys lost. Their QB got it done and ours didn't...FACT!

People said both the Mannings wouldn't win the big one and those couple of Boomhauers did it back to back.

Writing off Romo now is reactionary.

The Mannings were #1 overall picks who were big time collage players and Romo was an undrafted free agent. Romo has beaten the odds just becoming a starting QB in the NFL. Fans only compare his struggles to the Mannings because they're searching for hope.

What does a quote I made several weeks ago in a thread about the menu at Cowboys Stadium have to do with this discussion?

ROMO BRINGS LOTS OF HOPE!

He also dashes lots of hope. I hate being so critical but you can't win championships with a QB who turns the ball over in bunches the way he does. This has been proven.

10 years of putrid QB play should clue you in on the fact that he's our ONLY HOPE. Sure, we can draft a hotshot young prospect but I hope that means you're ready to go through his growing pains with him for another 5 years or so.

I am not ready for that. It has been too long to begin with. Romo is my guy and I actually do have complete confidence in him. The guy is pure lethal and was the only reason we stayed in that game. He didn't run off to the sideline and sulk like Delhomme, and then roll back in and continue to stink. Romo produced at the times we needed him the most. That's the difference between him and a bust.

If we bench him, there are about 25 other teams (with real GMs and coaches with a backbone who can control his erratic play) that would be salivating to trade for him.

I've never been this skeptical of Romo Sunday night. I am hoping that this last game was a bump in the road and the team rights the ship (Defense has been bad these first few games).

Truth be told I had the Giants game pencilled in as a loss and mental breakdowns were the exact reason why. Recent history indicated that this is the type of game where the Cowboys show up small. But, it was still painful to watch it in unfold.

They will bounce back against Carolina this week.

Hope me hole? What point were you trying to make? You said " People said both the Mannings wouldn't win the big one and those couple of Boomhauers did it back to back.

Romo came from a different world compared to the Mannings. The Mannings showed why they were #1 overall picks by winning SB's and so far Romo has shown in big games why no one bothered to draft him.

Just like Tom Brady has shown in big games why no one bothered to draft him before the 199th pick.

I hate to admit it, but I'm losing faith in Romo.

Don't get me wrong, I don't not appreciate his talents and efforts. I think he has the ability to be a top 4 QB in the league.

But its those mental relapses and moronic plays he makes from time to time that prevents that from happening.

I had been writing that off to youth and inexperience. But now he's in his 4th year starting, and he's 29 years old. Neither excuse applies anymore.

He still makes the same mistakes now that he was in 2006.

I know with Romo at the helm, we'll always have a chance. But I fear that he won't be able to take us to the promise land.

I know Romo is a very good QB I accept the fact that like most athletes he is going to have bad days but he will have many more good days than bad. As far as team accomplishments it will take more than Romo to get to where we want to go but I have complete faith in Romo ability as a QB
