I am not making excuses for Romo but how would you like to be the QB when you never know where your receivers are going! I think we felt that our present receiving group would work out but other than Crayton and Williams they all suck. Time to let our rookie free agent Ogletree
see what he can do. He couldn't do any worse! Also our OL looked awful after the first quarter and some of the play calling was atrocious! Why not throw a few passes to Bennett.....'hell, he is taller than their defensive backs! Throwing Hurd over the middle in the end zone was terrible! A solid WR should be a priority for us in next years draft. I feel better now......

The main reason Romo has regressed is the stiffs we have at WR. When you're having to go to Sam Hurd at the end of a game to try and pull out a win you have serious problems at WR. The Cowboys are feeling the affects of not having a big play WR like TO. Denver has the kind of receiver the Cowboys lack and he made the difference. The Cowboys don't have the quick strike ability they had when TO was here. TO opened up alot because he had to be accounted for. Romo appears to be thinking rather than reacting. He fears making a mistake and the Cowboys fear it to.
They have him throwing dumps and screens to keep him from turning the ball over. None of our WR's can get any separation. McNabbs numbers dropped dramatically after Philly dumped TO. Romo needs a big, fast, physical receiver who can get down the field and beat coverage. He doesn't trust Austin or RW they're rarely ever on the same page. The only thing to look forward to after this season is a high draft pick and hopefully a REAL head coach who knows how to lead a team.
