Romo interview

not sure if your half kidding but your right...the league is designed now to protect guys like Romo. If he were only born 5 years later.
Then Drew Brees would be our QB

I change my mind. I'm all for bringing him back. He will either 1. earn the God-like status his fans have elevated him to 2. get hurt or 3. fail to win once again possibly choking the season away. Anything less than a SB would be failure and getting hurt or failing to make playoffs or win a playoff game would be a complete failure.

And we no he wouldn't be rusty. His one drive in Philly proved he can just flip a switch.

Let's bring him back. We have nothing to lose.
Done! Aqua Teens Assemble!

Why would he want to come back to this dysfunctional mess even if he could?

Playing for a Garrett/Linehan offense or hanging out in the booth doing something he's very good at and can probably do for 20 more years of he chooses. Tough choice.

The last time he played under Garrett/Linehan for a full season...
Romo was #1 in NFL for QBR (113.2)
Offense was #4th best in NFL

Do you think Tony might like the idea of redemption? And a title. Just a little?

Further, technically the hit was crossing the line of a dirty hit because when a QB is sliding the defender has to back off to period.

It was nowhere near a dirty hit as Avril had started his arm-swiping motion and lunge at right about the same time as Romo shows he's going to slide. Perhaps he could have used his powers of levitation to ease up on ol' Tony. Y'all need to make up your minds. Either you want football where players get to go all out or you support the rules that call breathing on a QB too hard a foul.

People just got to keep making up stories to justify .....

You don't say.

Here’s how this Cinderella story works:
-Romo returns at game #7. Team is 3-3 due to defense.
-Frederick returns the same week
-And Sean Lee
-Seattle GM folds, trades Earl to us for a third in 2019 and a 4th in 2020
-Lawrence has his first true monster game, 2 sacks and forced fumble
-Jaylon has his best game ever

Cowboys ROLL. A team of redemption and destiny. Title for Tony. He retires and 3 months later qualifies for...and wins the Masters.

So I would seriously consider asking Romo to come back. As bad as Dak has been, our backups are even worse.

If I’m Jerry...I absolutely would. I don’t know if tony would really do it with him having his gig with CBS. And I don’t know how soon he realistically would be in shape to play. It’s all unlikely, but I’ll ride the dream.

He has a generational TV job as part of the A broadcast team for CBS. He would never give that up to play football.

With our Defense playing as well as it has, How much would he really have to do?

Stop, I can only get so erect.

Romo's job should have zero impact on him coming back. Zero. The dude can come back and make more in 2 years of playing football than a lifetime of broadcasting. Plus, he was so good at broadcasting that he would easily get another high profile gig, if not get the same job back.

That got me laughing out loud. Wouldn’t that make a splash. What a narrative!
Dez comes back. First day he chases Sean Kee for talking noise about him. Lee tries to get away but tears his hamstring and retires and takes Romos job at CBS for rest of the season

If he told CBS that he wanted to play and they legitimately thought he could they'd probably be thrilled. They'd know it was relatively short term and that if he won a Superbowl it would be even better for their ratings when he came back to the booth.

Easy killer. This is just a fantasy. It’s not actually going to happen. As a father he won’t go back to working 24-7/365
