It's called having numerous steroid injections to the lumbar spine, which overtime weakened his bone density and made him more prone to sustaining fractures. He sacrificed his body to stay on the field for the team and he paid the price physically.

Romo never got the roughing calls in the first place. What makes you think he'd get them now? You can't tell me that refs call those fairly. Cam Newton, as much as l enjoy seeing him take a beating, was a victim of those no-calls 2 years ago. The NFL rules are a joke...

I wanted Romo back as starter in 2016 after he recovered from his injury, don't want him back now. Him coming back to this cast of characters would just give the Cowboys a few more wins, but probably wouldn't make the playoffs and just screw up the draft position. Keep the status quo, which will lead to a terrible season and draft a QB and other offensive talent next year.
