Romo interview

1. Nothing you said, or that you say the doctor said, contradicts what I wrote. Saying it is a normal football injury just means that it is something that is seen in football, not that all players are equally susceptible regardless of age, strength, muscle tone, bone strength etc ....

2. You actually did say the hit was crossing the line (your words ... "technically the hit was crossing the line of dirty ..."). You didn't say those were the words of others, you wrote those words yourself. And, I disagree with them. "Technically" a slide has to occur early enough for the defender to have an opportunity to pull up. "Techinically" if the slide doesn't occur that early, there is no penalty. And that applies to preseason just like it does to regular season. There isn't a separate set of rules for preseason.

Even aside from the penalty aspect, how can it be "dirty" if a player starts a tackle before or simultaneous with the QB starting his slide? "Dirty" suggests intent, and if he started the process of the tackle with no knowledge of the slide, there was no intent.

Please provide for me what the doctor said, when the only words you used were ‘football trauma’.. please show me where you quoted the doctor what he actually meant and not what OmerV said he meant..

So not only does OmverV tell me what I mean, he has a keen ability to tell us what the spine doctors I quoted said in multiple posts means, without even reading what they themselves qualify they mean when using it..

And that too after Romo didn’t have surgery and was practicing by 8 weeks and throwing lasers all over the field, meaning all the practical evidence confirmed what the doctor said., but you know OmerV knows what the doctor said..

Lol @ lasers

Lol @ lasers
He did have a nice dink and dunk drive against Philly. Well, he did have that long pass that had no chance of being caught, even by the defender who was in the best position to catch it. A little better throw there and Romo's swan song drive ends in a first pass interception.

29 yards. Regular season HOF Shoe In!

Congratulations, Romo’s football trauma was never a point of yours, but it was the MAIN POINT OF MINE, which you were responding to. Let me make it clear for you:

You were responding to me, not I.

Lol. That's why initially I didn't quote your whole post and just pulled out the portion I took issue with, like here. What I was trying to do was avoid what you are doing, which is attempting to repeat your stance over and over again as if I quoted it and disagreed, which I didn't. But when you can't debate the actual portion I quoted then you try to go back to your point you were making with someone else as a cover for your biased logic I called out. This isn't rocket science. You called something "borderline dirty" that had no hint of dirty in it and now need to cling to that stance to save face including pulling in talking points I never quoted to start. I get it. You're not the first.

And he will do it over and over.

Why would I debate something that is totally irrelevant to my post?

“He got fouled, but even if he did not, the injury he got from the hit would happen to anybody which is the main point.”

“It’s disputable he was fouled, but the only reason your saying that it’s disputable, is because you like the player.”

“But I ALREADT said that you can dispute it was a borderline hit and that’s not even the main point, because we are discussing Romo being able to continue to play and start and his alleged fragility.”

“Well Zeke trucked a guy, what do you say about that?”

There is nothing to save face from my side. Your whole argument is with your imaginary friend, that you think is me. Keep propping yourself up though. You the man and the whole imaginary crowd in your head is obviously cheering your “intellectual prowess” on to the point you believe it..

If I need smoke and mirrors for a Halloween display this year I know where to get them.

Keep pretending to yourself that you owning this imaginary argument. Whatever helps keep you smiling in the mirror everyday in the morning.
I understand that it must be embarrassing and hard loving you some Dak right now...

What in the world are you talking about? You were the one that indicated what the doctor said and I was responding to that. I never said I was quoting the doctor. You have imagined a fantasy argument.

It was actually you that was telling us what the doctor means even though the doctor didn't say what you indicated. You are telling us the doctor said the same injury would happen to any NFL player that got tackled like Romo did, but the quote you attributed to the doctor did not say that. It only said it was a normal football injury. A pulled hamstring is also a normal football injury, but that doesn't mean every player is equally susceptible to it.

The ridiculous thing is that you don't acknowledge that age and other factors affect players bodies - actually everyone's body - and ability to withstand the physical rigors of the game. You are sticking to a nonsensical position that defies science, history and the personal experience of every person that doesn't live in a hole isolated from the world.

And what did I say that is contrary to the idea that Romo could throw the football well 8 weeks later? I didn't say Romo could never play or throw the football again. That's another imagined fantasy argument.

Oh really, I never said that when you inserted yourself in this conversation to tell me what allegedly textbook ‘football trauma’ means and this too in a thread where I previously spoke about what they said multiple times..

As spine doctors said, it was TEXTBOOK FOOTBALL TRAUMA, meaning that type of injury is basic for any athlete, and it wouldn’t prevent him from playing again, and would a six week healing period and they were right.

Notice that I qualified what the spine doctors said when you first decided to insert yourself into thus conversation to tell me how the doctors allegedly meant when they used the terms football trauma.

You do this all the time, it’s embarrassing. Just like when you tried to tell me when I can or cannot use sarcasm, as per the most authoritative work on the English language, “The OmerV Book of when one can or cannot use sarcasm”.

Let’s add spine expert to the list of fields OmerV is authoritative on, despite even the diagnosis of the injury and Romo’s return by the actual experts materialized in reality.

lol - If you are embarrassed, that's your problem. And you still haven't printed anything that disputes what I said. A doctor calling it "textbook football trauma" is not the same as saying every player would experience the same thing in the same way regardless of age, muscularity, bone density etc ... You are creating an argument by claiming he is saying more than he actually did.

Oh yeah, just another example of your ability to comprehend points that by embarrassing you think I’d be referring to myself as I proceed once again to show how you continue to dig yourself into a hole and how you always double down in being wrong, like you are doing once again with this latest posts

Now that it’s proven that I SAID the spine doctor said what he said, by bringing you the first quote from which you tried to insert yourself into this conversation, you are now back to telling me what allegedly the spine doctor meant after saying in your last post, your responses to me were all based on what I said the spine doctor said...

How rich.. just admit you have no clue what the spine doctor said when speaking specifically about ROMO’s injury that was proven, once again, by actual reality with Romo returning to practice in roughly that timeline he said he would return..

Oh yeah, just another brilliant example of your comprehension that by embarrassing you think I’d be referring to myself as I proceed once again to show how you continue to dig yourself into a joke and how you always double down in It like you are doing here.

Now that it’s proven that I SAID the spine doctor said what he said, because you tried to argue originally what the spine doctor actually meant, you are now back to telling me what allegedly the spine doctor meant after saying it was all based on what I said the spine doctor said...

How rich..

oh - you are referring to me? I'm not embarrassed, and you are pretty ridiculous if you feel qualified to claim that I am. Of course, you feel qualified to claim a doctor said something he did not say, so I guess you are forming a pattern.

I'm finding it humorous that the guy who claims the spine doctor said (or meant) something his words don't indicate is trying to argue that it's actually me doing that. I'm only telling you what the doctor's words say, you are the one claiming they mean something they don't say.

Here we are again:

Have you read what the doctor said or are you responding to what I claimed the doctor said?

“I never said I was quoting the doctor.”

So how exactly do you know what the doctor said, when you clearly can’t even comprehend what I said about the doctor that I had to quote myself for you, to prove once again your inability to read properly?

And my quoting myself was to once again demonstrate to you that I never once said the doctor ONLY called it ‘textbook football trauma”, meaning you’ve been operating under this assumption that the doctor only said that, meaning you’ve been embarrassing yourself this whole time.

lol.

Romo must say ‘Hey everyone! I am retired!’ before some people will accept that he will not return to the NFL. The Speech was a dream. Seeing him broadcast games for now years has been a mirage. Watching him on the golf courses (without the nonsense quacking he is ignoring football) was a hallucination.

He did not say anything wrong. Why is it some people want someone as intelligent as Romo to play the ‘Are you REALLY retired?’ game? The Speech DID happen. He IS a highly successful network sports analyst. He IS playing golf whenever he wants and loving it.

But that is not enough for some people. Fascinating. Some people are so willingly extreme. Cannot get past him leaving football. Cannot grasp basic physics. Do not own a clue about bone density, spinal trauma, anatomy, etc. Cannot get beyond self-omnipotence. Just the same old foolishness. “Romo should come back!” “Romo was almost paralyzed before!” “Romo would die now!” “Romo was the worst quarterback!” “Romo will compete with Prescott!” “Romo will replace the entire coaching staff!” “Am I omnipotent? No! I just THINK I am!!!!!”

Thank goodness for message boards.

/rant

Romo would have to compete with Dak for the starting job?

BAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAA
Compete with a QB that doesn't throw the ball more than 5 yards past the line of scrimmage:lmao2:

You claim you didn't say you quoted the doctor, yet you wrote this ...
"when I quoted your SPINE doctor, not OmerV, he stated exactly what it meant. He said that such types of injury are normal, they would take around 6 weeks to heal on their own and would not prevent Romo from playing again".

In any case, I'm not, and have not been, disputing what the doctor said, or that Romo's injury was a normal football injury, or that it would take around 6 weeks to heal. What I'm disputing is your claim that age couldn't have had anything to do with the injury. Lot's of "normal" injuries become more likely with players that are older and not as strong as they once were. And you know what else is "normal"? That players often retire as they age because their bodies aren't as physically strong and able to hold up as when they were younger. It's how the body works.

Seriously, are you drinking with Jerry now?

Those quotes I referenced in the last post are your quotes, not mine.

One minute your saying:

“I never said I was quoting the doctor”

The next minute you are saying:

“I’m only telling you what the doctor’s words say”

So yes, you have been telling me what the doctor said and what he meant.

And again, keep talking about players retiring, but guess what? The diagnosis of the spine-doctor was right, bringing us back to you just digging yourself into a hole with possibilities that didn’t happen, meaning more of your nonsensical arguing for the same if arguing.
