1. Jay Ratliff isn't a NT.
2. Sean Taylor is the best FS in the NFL.
3. Fasano will never be any good.
4. We would be .500 with Julius Jones getting 80% of the snaps.
5. The Cowboys defense from 2003 is just as good as the current Cowboys defense.
6. The Giants are a better team than the Cowboys right now.
7. Wade Phillips will be fired after this season.
I hate to "poison the well" but this one looks like somebody **** in it.
Those numbers include prorated signing bonuses for the top linemen in the NFL. They signed those contracts when they were well below 33 years old. Flozell won't be getting a long-term contract, so he won't be getting a big signing bonus.nyc;1738515 said:To ask for $7M/yr would be shorting himself as thats what guards are going for and he is a probowl left tackle. Ogden makes $9.1M, John Tait makes $8.5M, and Chris Samuels makes $8.3M.
USA Today's Top NFL Salaries (dated Feb. 2005 so it's missing some of the deals that exist now)
I suspect he will get at least a 3 year at TO money (3/yr $25M) if not larger.
Agreed.MichaelWinicki;1738678 said:You wouldn't think one person could be off the mark so often...
again...I was misquoted on some of those..and on others I am willing to debate. I said that if this defense does not turn out to be ANY BETTER than last year's AND we are at risk to losing Jason Garrett....Wade will be gone because he is on the wrong side of 60. I said the Giants are SLIGHTLY better AT THE MOMENT, because of their ability to get to the QB without blitzing ( I admit to having an afinity to teams that can pressure the QB)....Fasano will never live up to a 2nd round pick in Dallas, and I will not back off of that...and for everyone who thinks he could slide right in and replace Witten if Witten gets hurt...you seriously underestimate Wittens talent and overestimate Fasano's.MichaelWinicki;1738678 said:You wouldn't think one person could be off the mark so often...
Well, if we had a tackle on our line as good as Tony Ugoh, I don't think too many people would have a problem making the switch.Kangaroo;1739476 said:Everyone sites 2 years ago about losing Flo. 2 years ago we had no depth on the oline now we do.
You eventually have to bite the bullet and move to the young guys even with a 67 million dollar investment.
Indy was forced into it when their lt retired and they have yet to lose a beat on that oline.
There is a time we need to stop hanging onto the old guys and start rotating in the new. I think it will be time with Flo this summer
