Romo Leading Passer in NFC

He won't win MVP because people are in love with Drew Brees(isn't that good) and Kurt Warner.

Brees is on pace for one of the best statistical seasons in NFL QB history.

His team kinda sucks but he's having a historic season.

If he wins what we are seeing is the influence of fantasy football on voting.

Great point. To expound...

The Associated Press has been giving out the MVP award since 1959, and every quarterback that has ever won it was on a team that finished first or tied for first in its division. The Saints are in last place in the South.

Brees' TD pace would give him only the 28th-best season ever. His passer rating would bring him in at 44th. He's already had four games this season in which he threw more picks than TD's, all of them losses.

No QB from a team that lost more than 5 games ever won MVP. The Saints are 6-5.

So yeah, (unless the Saints win out and win the division, and Brees has nothing but 4-TD games) if Brees wins it, the voters would be turning 49 years of history on its head.
