What's wrong with saying that Tony Romo and Eli Manning are both very good quarterbacks, just surrounded by different levels of talent and having had different circumstances?

Because one is fat and the other one is retarted...I guess.

We even have a physical therapist on board that can determine how fat Romo is by looking at a picture. Very cool...

I still analyze mechanics from still photos. The difference is, I will never post about it again, because of the responses in that thread.

Back to the thread topic, Romo is not overweight, he's just not ripped and he wears loose fitting clothes. Big deal.

The year Mark Rypien won the SB - he had a better year as a QB than Eli did either year he won a SB, No? Now, you being the research, objective guru that you are would objectively adjust for the inflated passing yds/#'s of this era in order to make a fair comparison, correct? Now, on the other hand if you didnt have to watch all or most of Rypien's games as I did I might be asking a bit much of you on this one.

Now, I might add, that since I watched a whole lot of Mark Rypien his good year I know what he was. And since I get to see a whole lot of Eli I know what he is. I can make that comparison because I am familiar with both guys. And because I am familiar, I can note the similarities. Maybe you arent able to do that. And if not, then maybe you arent able to make a credible claim about my knowledge and bias credibility. Maybe you just didnt/havent seen enough of both to make a legitimate statement.

I have yet to see you note a single similarity between the two.

Believe it or not, some fans come here for actual, logical football discussion. They don't enjoy seeing all the homers who's best arguments are to throw around 5th grade insults and name calling at opposing players just because they arn't on the Dallas Cowboys.

I've been a Cowboys fan since i was 5 years old and through these past awful years i've still remained the biggest fan there is.. and i will always be one, but that doesn't mean i won't acknowledge that certain players on other teams can be good as well. Your persistent whining and name calling against Eli Manning, and insisting that he's garbage and didn't do much of anything to help his teams win the Super Bowl's that they won is just the worst kind of nonsense that this board offers.

Then you insist that anyone that disagrees with you and tries to give credit where credit is due must be a rival fan undercover. Honestly, the whole schtick is long past getting old, my friend.

Ha, so now the MEDIA is the voice of reason! Like I said, in my OPINION, this has been a problem for Romo in the past as well.

I'm not attempting to toot my own horn, but I have a 4 year degree in exercise physiology so I have a background in certain areas (currently going for my Masters). I suspect that if Bill Parcells were the HC, we'd see Romo at a better muscle to fat ratio. I was surprised he let Roy become a biscuit away from being a LB.

The MEDIA stays on top of things and if Romo was looking "significantly" heavier as you claim from a few pics that were posted it would have been reported. You honestly believe no one in the media would have mentioned it? When Jamarcus Russell was with the Raiders and showed up for sessions with the media and OTA's the first thing they reported was his increasing weight. Even before he showed up to the Raiders facility there were numerous reports about his weight gain. No way is a QB of an NFL franchise going to show up in May in front of the media fat and out of shape and have it go unreported. It's not possible! If the Cowboys were making the playoffs every year and Romo had 2 SB rings would you be mentioning that he needs to take his training and nutrition more seriously?

What have you seen in his play on the field that makes you believe he's regressed and that he doesn't take his training and nutrition seriously? As for Parcells you're saying that if he were the head coach we would see Romo at a better muscle to fat ratio but you just said you're surprised that he let Roy become a biscuit away from being a LB. So if he let Roy fatten up at a position where muscle and strength are required what makes you think he would have turned Romo into Mr Universe? Parcells wasn't concerned with Romo's muscle to fat ratio he was concerned with his warts.
