He was directly quoted as saying he was dating her. Sorry if I was sucked in by a direct quote from a newspaper. Though obviously they can be wrong, it would be silly to go around assuming that direct quotes from newspapers are always (or even usually) wrong.

I didn't say the quote was wrong. Romo probably said it and was joking. And he later said it wasn't true.

In addition, no one really knows if the life span of his fame is 15 minutes. He is clearly making the most of it. He's milking these rumors all he can.
