Rodgers deserves it so far. Best QB in the league. I'm tired of Peyton always getting it and getting blown out in the playoffs. Here is my top 5:

1) Rodgers
2) Murray
3) Peyton
4) Rivers
5) Luck

If Dallas wins the superbowl there is no doubt that Murray should win it. But Romo should also be in the running. Since the SF game he's playing as good as any QB and possibly top 3.

Denver might be the 49ers for us this generation. They're the only team that I think can compete with us once we fire on all cylinders. If we can beat them this year though (obviously would be in the playoffs) they'll never be able to beat us. We'll be that much better next year.

Tap the breaks there. This team has a ton of holes, and nothing is given in the NFL from season to season. Enjoy the ride, because we aren't garunteed to be better next year

Isn't the MVP award usually before the superbowl? Either way, it's the regular season MVP and the superbowl MVP, should go to whomever plays the best that game.

I always thought it was after the superbowl. But your right it should go to the best player. Aaron Rogers is playing great. I just think that Murray should deserve it more not because he's a Cowboy. But because he's doing it during a pass happy NFL where its easier to score TDs with your passing rather than on the ground. Running over 100 yards 7 times is no easy feat and no one has accomplished that in the NFL before until Murray and the Cowboy's decided to do it.

He's not likely to win it but he definitely deserves to be on the list.

Isn't it given out before the Super Bowl? I think the teams with the best records will have a lot to do with it. If we finish 14-2 with the best record in the NFL, I can see Romo having an outside chance. Or if we finish 11-5 but Murray breaks the all-time record, I can see him definitely taking it.

Overall, it usually comes down to the QB (or sometimes the RB or WR if they break an all-time record) on one of the 3-4 best teams in the NFL. As a QB, you're not gonna win unless you're team has 12+ wins and you put up insane numbers. As a RB/WR, you're not gonna win unless you single-handedly bring your team to the playoffs and break a record or are close to it.

I don't see Romo's numbers competing with Rodgers'. The guy has 18 TD, 1 INT and more yards than Romo. Unless the Packers go on a losing streak, Rodgers is gonna win (or else Peyton will).

Peyton Manning
Aaron Rodgers
Phillip Rivers
Andrew Luck
DeMarco Murray

Those are the 5 MVP front runners at this point in the season.

I don't disagree that Rogers is doing better than Romo and is playing great. But thats due more to the success of Murray and Romo having to do less and Romo is having to do more with less chances which is a testament to our running game and Murray.

However, I believe is running a very close 3rd place with Peyton first and Rogers.

What I see in Romo vs. the other top QBs is that he has a better 3rd down completion and is playing lights out on that down. That is a down where he excels at and is beating ANY QB based on conversion ratings.

I also think that Romo is better or even as good as Rogers in the clutch. How many times have we seen it when Romo was able to make something out of nothing. Those types of plays don't count in the stat charts. But they are quality plays nonetheless which should give Romo mention as possibly MVP.

I would give the nod to Rogers or even Peyton. But Romo is a very close 3rd right now and holding his own because he just has the ability to make plays when it counts. Those don't show up on the stat charts but show up in the win charts.

I'd be fine if he got Superbowl MVP. That route turned out pretty good for Aikman.

I think Romo is one player that it would be virtually impossible for to receive MVP, even if he fully deserved it. Media narratives are very powerful, however inaccurate they may be.

Agreed with Romo being more clutch than Rodgers. Rodger's teams have always faired poorly when attempting 4th quarter comebacks.

Having said that one of the things people don't realize with Rodgers is how little the guy throws the ball. He is currently 17th in the league in attempts -- even Romo has thrown it more than Rodgers at this point.

Rodgers is consistently in the middle of the pack in terms of passing attempts. Even in his 2011 MVP season where he went off for 45 TDs and 6 INTs he ranked just 16th in the league in attempts.

It's the reason why his QB rating is always sky-high -- he throws a ton of TDs as compared to relatively few attempts.

I'm sure you've all seen/heard 'em. If we continue and finish 14-2/15-1 I fully expect Romo to receive the MVP nod over Murray, unless he breaks the single season rushing record.

not ready to make that choice yet and both are having bigtime years. Who'd a thunk it after the 1st game.

Well, I can't wait to see if this comes to fruition.

Ya know, after we finish 14-2 or 15-1.

Remember you picked the Cowboys 3-13 or 4-12 with a few choice words on everything being done wrong. Few meaning 10,000+ all this year.
