Sort of like the sun shines on a dog's butt every once in while...

But one, wouldn't those be the opposite because the sun is seen positively while rain is generally negative, and two, I still don't follow how either of them make sense in this scenario

It's a saying we say in Texas. Not sure where you're from. But in the neck of the woods where I grew up they said that a lot.

Okay well I'm still curious, through all of this, to know your stance on Romo sitting this game out, and I'm from Long Island

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has announced the team probably won't allow quarterback Tony Romo in the Hall of Fame Game on August 4 against the Miami Dolphins, according to NFL.com.

"It's one of those deals where I suppose he could play five plays or whatever, but we might lean to no plays," Garrett told KRLD-FM. "But the clock starts on our '1's' in Week 2 of the preseason. So (Week 1 is) not going to be Tony's game."

Romo had offseason surgery to remove a cyst from his back in April, perhaps part of the reason Garrett wants Romo to ease into the season. Another reason could simply be its the preseason, so why take unnecessary chances?

I hope they're not too down on our o-line..that scary thought crept into my mind somehow, but its more likely they're just being VERRY precautious.

No worries. My recent ex-roommate was from RI. I actually think it is a good decision by Garrett, although I'm thinking this decision may be Romo's more than anyone's. You don't want to risk injury to your $100 million dollar man. He's a seasoned vet and doesn't need to be out there after an offseason surgery.
