This is the crux of the situation. Good post.

Spo still sucks

Thanks man. I don't know about Spo. He's obviously not a great coach, but id also imagine few coaches in history could handle the overall ego's of this team.

Wrong terms to pick:

Google results for:
Tony Romo sucks: About 374,000 results
Lebron James sucks: About 2,360,000 results

Compared to current results:

374,000 / 7,450,000 = 5.02% of results say Romo sucks.
2,360,000 / 117,000,000 = 2.01% of results say James sucks.

Based off google results, Romo is bashed 2.5x more frequently.

2,360,000 / 374,000 = 6.31

Lebron is bashed 6.31x more frequently.

I've lived in Dallas my whole life as well. While I do agree Romo gets more undeserved disrespect than Lebron, there is no debate over who gets more criticism. It's Lebron all day every day even in the off season. He is the face of the NBA right now, and he is one of the most recognizable athletes on the planet right now.

While I agree with you that Lebron is talked about more because he's pretty much the most polarizing figure in all of sports, that wasn't what the topic was about. It's who was bashed more. People are basically split on Lebron and this board is a significant statistical measure in the normal populations view. There are those that think he chokes, there are those who thinks his coach sucks and his teammates are subpar, but for the most part people agree he's a talented player and arguably one of the best in the NBA.

It's far less split on Romo, in my experience. I'd wager that a general consensus poll on ESPN would rate Romo as a choker and probably not even a top 10 QB in the NFL. That's a whole different level of hate.

I was using the Dallas/Cowboy country area as reference because the hate here should be much less than other areas. I've watched a significant amount of the games over the last few years in sports bars in the surrounding Dallas area and the amount of hate exhibited by his own fan base is just ridiculous. I've gotten into discussions with "fans" over how good Romo actually is, and you'd be amazed at some of the things i've heard.

If you asked the average fan who'd they take, Rivers or Romo, a majority would take Rivers and his catastrophe of a 2011 season with 20+ turnovers over Tony. How many people would admit to taking Lamar Odom over Lebron? No one. Romo doesn't get near the respect Lebron does unless Dilfer is on the screen breaking down for the uninformed of exactly how good Romo is in the NFL.

That's what happens when you use 95 percent of your teams salary cap space on 3 players.

Let them keep crying about it though.. James simply isn't good enough to take over games and pull out wins in the postseason. Just another lesson to show that teams win championships, not individual players. That's a lesson the Heat organization is going to learn the hard way over the next several years, as they put themselves in a huge hole with the deals they handed out to these three.

LOL, they went to the NBA finals last year losing in 6 games and they still have a chance to go the finals this year despite one of the big 3 only playing 14 minutes the entire playoffs.

I sure do wish the Cowboys could learn this same lesson.

Ugh LeBron will be beloved now. Fans who hated him before are now suddenly back on his jock now that he had a legendary game :bang2:

45 points and 15 in a must-win game still does not make up for The Decision and taking the easy route by forming the Super-Team

If he fails to win game 7 or beat the Thunder no one will remember this game.

Hey, if they do manage to make it to the finals this year.. that's great. If they fail to win a championship again.. they still look stupid. No doubt that organization expected championships when they signed these three.. not finals appearances. If you want "almost there", become an Eagles fan. They had plenty of those the past decade. How many super bowl trophies are they holdin right now?

This whole idea that the signing of these three players has been a colossal failure is beyond stupid. I would assume that winning a championship is every teams goal, yet how many made it to the finals last year and how many will make it this year. It’s not like they didn’t make the playoffs or were ousted in the first round. On top of that, the story hasn’t even been written, it’s year freaking two. The bolded part of your statement is my point, you don’t know yet, but they clearly have demonstrated the ability to win a championship.

In my opinion, at this point, those signings have been a success. I can only imagine how much revenue they’ve generated not only for the Heat but for the NBA. I doubt the Heat organization is feeling stupid. What happens if the Heat still make it to the Finals and beat the Thunder, then who’s looking stupid?

As for the "almost there" comment, as disappointing as it may be, I would imagine that most Cowboys fan would prefer the Cowboys losing in the SB as oppose to not making the playoffs.

They have three players taking up 95 percent of their cap space. They morgated the immediate future to win championships now. That was the plan. That's what they expect. So far.. no championships. They thought they could buy them.. they were wrong. They'll be wrong again this year.

And that's what is utterly utterly about both the LeBron and Romo hate. Every game they lose was "the big game". Every big game they win never really happened. The facts are put aside or warped to fit the narratives.

There are plenty of facts to support "King James" impact fading away in the postseason, sir. Its utterly utterly to suggest otherwise.

Sure, and there are plenty other "facts" of him dominating in the playoffs. Like in the 2007 Eastern Finals when he went off for 48 points against the Pistons in a 2 point double overtime win, and scored his team's final 25 points. Or how he completely made Derrick Rose his prison wife in the Eastern Conference Finals last year.

Morons selectively pretend those games didn't exist.

Looks like the LeBron fanboy is getting upset. :lmao2:

He beat Detroit and then got SWEPT in the Finals. Last year he had one of the worst choke jobs for a superstar in recent memory.

If getting swept by more talented teams is embarassing, Kobe's been pretty embarassed in back to back years.

Lebron is 27, Bosh is 28 and Wade is 30. Your right, their future looks horrendous. They'll be lucky to make the playoffs next year. You act like they have 95% of their cap tied up in Pierce, Garnett and Allen.

So you hope!

And again, they were up 2-1 in the finals last year and will probably go to the finals again this year, I wouldn't call that a gross miscalculation.

First of all Kobe isn't in his prime if he was there is no way the Lakers wouldn't have beaten Dallas and OKC. Second he wasn't even swept this season so try again.

No you're right.. they'll lose in the finals again this year (if they even make it that far) and the organization heads will be more than happy all offseason by two consecutive finals losses. Just like they planned, right?

It'll be an embarassment if they don't win AT LEAST one championship in the next couple years. You act like what they did was something normal. Its damn near a joke, getting three players to take less money to all sign on the same team to try and buy a championship. You think those three thought they'd be settling for finals appearances? Bull.. its championship or bust every year for that team, and they put that on themselves. So far.. its a bust, and egg on all their faces.

Again winning the championship should be every teams plan. I'm sure the Charlotte Bobcats are pointing and laughing at the Heat.

What exactly are you saying? Are your saying that the Heat shouldn't have signed arguably the best player in the NBA and Chris Bosh because if they don't win a championship it will be embarrassing? Should D. Williams not sign with the Mavs because if they don't win a championship he'll have egg on his face?

If so then I'll respectively disagree and move on.

Im saying no other team in the history of the NBA has devoted more salary cap to three players than this team did. They tried to pull a coup on the entire league and buy a championship by signing three superstars and could barely afford to fill out the rest of the team. It was all talk and all hype when they signed. Big party to announce the signings, promises of multiple championships, etc..

If you don't think the organization thought for sure that they were buying chamionships, you're silly. If the Heat fail this year, they will look pretty silly for the move they made. That'll be two years, zero championships with this "dream team".

..and if they don't win one next year either, haha, man look out. It'll be spin, spin, spin for the organization's PR team, because they'll be taking some major "Heat".
