Im saying no other team in the history of the NBA has devoted more salary cap to three players than this team did. They tried to pull a coup on the entire league and buy a championship by signing three superstars and could barely afford to fill out the rest of the team. It was all talk and all hype when they signed. Big party to announce the signings, promises of multiple championships, etc..

If you don't think the organization thought for sure that they were buying chamionships, you're silly. If the Heat fail this year, they will look pretty silly for the move they made. That'll be two years, zero championships with this "dream team".

..and if they don't win one next year either, haha, man look out. It'll be spin, spin, spin for the organization's PR team, because they'll be taking some major "Heat".

If, if, if.....

Romo gets plenty bashed in Dallas, but Dallas has a HIGH NUMBER of ********, casual fans. Just look at the recent spike in Rangers attendence. If/when we win a Super Bowl, watch...all of a sudden "everyone's a Cowboys fan" and "I knew Romo could do it". ....and those will be the same people that were saying "The Cowboys suck, they need to get rid of Romo."

While I agree with you that Lebron is talked about more because he's pretty much the most polarizing figure in all of sports, that wasn't what the topic was about. It's who was bashed more. People are basically split on Lebron and this board is a significant statistical measure in the normal populations view. There are those that think he chokes, there are those who thinks his coach sucks and his teammates are subpar, but for the most part people agree he's a talented player and arguably one of the best in the NBA.

It's far less split on Romo, in my experience. I'd wager that a general consensus poll on ESPN would rate Romo as a choker and probably not even a top 10 QB in the NFL. That's a whole different level of hate.

I was using the Dallas/Cowboy country area as reference because the hate here should be much less than other areas. I've watched a significant amount of the games over the last few years in sports bars in the surrounding Dallas area and the amount of hate exhibited by his own fan base is just ridiculous. I've gotten into discussions with "fans" over how good Romo actually is, and you'd be amazed at some of the things i've heard.

If you asked the average fan who'd they take, Rivers or Romo, a majority would take Rivers and his catastrophe of a 2011 season with 20+ turnovers over Tony. How many people would admit to taking Lamar Odom over Lebron? No one. Romo doesn't get near the respect Lebron does unless Dilfer is on the screen breaking down for the uninformed of exactly how good Romo is in the NFL.

You are spot on!

Those who say Lebron fail to focus on the "bashing."

LeBron gets bashed way more. Cowboy fans tend to view Romo as a constant target in the minds of people all over the country, when the reality is Cowboy fans just notice it more because Romo is the QB of their team. LeBron, on the other hand, truly gets consistent national attention.
