Romo Pick Play Commentary?

Here's the rule:

Rule 8, Section 5, Article 2 (Forward Pass, Backward Pass, Fumble)

Prohibited Acts by both teams while the ball is in the air. Acts that are pass interference include, but are not limited to:
(e) cutting off the path of an opponent by making contact with him, without playing the ball.

It seems to me that that is fairly open to interpretation. Worthy made contact with his defender and drove him into the other defender without playing the ball. Worthy did initiate the contact, which was clearly meant to impede the defender on that play. He wasn't trying to get around the defender. He was trying to "go through" him. That's why the ref called it.
This ^^^

But the Romofanatics are out defending Tony Romo, even if Romo is wrong.

But on the replay it looked like a no call.
Agreed & what is wrong with anyone asking should the rule include indirect "picking"? It's a legit question. So many people only react based on whether the play was for or against their team instead of exploring whether the rule is solid or flawed.

They will all tell you that he does stuff they couldn't. I'm not young (unfortunately) and absolutely say we've never seen anyone quite like him.
can’t do anything different in fact I think he’s like the fourth best quarterback in the league that I would take

Assume you do, yea? Ive seen them all in the modern era... and I can name all of the same ones you are going to name, and IMO, Mahomes is better. Now, do I also think the qb rules favor today's QBs over 70s qbs? Staubach would be amazing in modern football. But I am not sure how you can say Mahomes isnt great. The guys has been to the AFC title game EVERY YEAR of his career since he became the starter in his 2nd year. He absolutely wills his team to wins, and in the playoffs he has basically been lights out.
He sucks right now and he would suck before so overrated if he didn’t have Andy Reid and that franchise

Andy pre mahomes had zero rings. Chiefs pre mahomes hasn't don't jack since dinosaurs roamed the earth. What's it, 7 or 8 straight after championship games? NO QB in modern history has done that. Your comments lack any credibility whatsoever.

I loved Romo: great person, very good QB and fun to watch.

Also:

A massive choker with not one signature career win.

Both things can be true ‍♂️
I remember that game against the Broncos when he massively choked at the end throwing that interception in that 51-48 loss. What a bum, couldnt even put up 52 pts against the best team in the league that year. He never could win the big one. I remember when he dropped that beautiful pass against the Giants in the playoffs that would have won the game for us... bum.

Romo said it wasn't a penalty, Steratore disagreed. So, what's the rule there? It looked like a pick to me in real-time, but Romo said the Chiefs player didn't make contact with the defender gaurding the receiver, but his own defender, so it shouldn't have been called.

Romo is a blatherer. Was always one will always be one.

Funny sometimes to listen to but dont make the mistake to believe what he says. If you want to know how things are ask google or someone who actually knows stuff.

The only thing Romo knows is how to eat the cheese.

He played great in many games.

But I ask you: how many signature wins does he have?

That shootout vs Manning is exactly what I'm talking about.

Toe to toe w/a legendary QB

Dallas ball late 4th Q:

At stake:

1) beat Manning in an all-time memorable shootout

2) set the single game passing record while doing so. (I think this was 40 yards away)

And it's intercepted on 1st Down.

Romo wasn't anti-Cowboys. He bigged up Prescott throughout. I always think he overdoes it so people don't think he's bitter about not being given a shot at winning his job back..

I do agree that he glazes Mahomes far too much and he always has done.

I think as an ex quarterback seeing what Mahomes does from the eye in the sky leaves almost any ex QB in awe. That dude is a friggin magician out there. He's like amore athletic version of Aaron Rodgers.. and he plays for one of the great offensive minds of all time. A match made in heaven.

Romo was wrong. It was a pick play. I have noticed, and it is not just Tony, that former QBs calling games tend to side with the QB/Offense.

Also, People saying Romo is a Mahommes fan. I would hazard to guess that most former or current QBs are Mahommes fans. He is a heck of a player and there is nothing wrong with pointing it out. People tend to forget the ebb and flow of a game and which QB might be doing better at different times...Most calling the game will be praising the player, side of the ball or team when they are doing well. If the other teams starts doing well they will start praising them as well.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion but I really hate when cowboys fans rip on Tony or Troy because they do not act like total homers like the playmaker. It is not their jobs to be total homers just because they played for the cowboys.

He covers KC games often, while he probably pays very little attention to us. Have we even been on CBS this year?

I think he just has more invested in KC right now coveragewise and you could tell that by some of his comments. I don't think he was unfair in what he said. He gave his opinion and complimented Dallas as well. He just wasn't the Dallas homer that some here apparently wanted him to be.
Denver game

while Tryon gets walked back into him making contact just as he's throwing and the defender still had to make a diving interception. so it's not like he "just" made a bad decision or threw a bad pass.
