Yes I'm denying it. Romo played on 3 teams with a top 10 defense. so 1/3 of his career he had a top 10 defense. He also played on teams with numerous hall of famers as well. Let's just call it what it is. He was at his best when his body gave up on him.
Or in other words the same number of top 10 defenses that dak has had in his 3 years as starter

So Romo had it 33 % of his career

Dak has had a top 10 defense his entire pro career

And by the end of this year 2 of those 3 season will be at or near .500 seasons

Please, tell us how you know about the "real reason" I posted this.....

07-08 as well in total yardage. top 10

As Percy has pointed out countless times --

The most important defensive stat to winning is Def Pass Rating and we were not bottom ten but virtually bottom five for ten years. The most important stat on offense is Points Per Drive.

Total yards means nothing and as we have all learned - you don't mess with Percy.

Easy. He was straddled with one of the worst defenses in Dallas Cowboy history. You already forgot the knicknames of Tampa 500 or Tampa 600? Yeah the defense that gave up 500 yards every game. You know the defense that allowed Calvin Johnson to receive 300 yards in a single game. Had Tony had a defense capable of stopping an offense he would have won more playoff games for sure.
That’s bs. The same could be said about every quarterback in history. “If the defense stopped the opposing offense our quarterback would be a champion”. Lol. Since you’re handpicking games in Romo’s behalf, don’t forget his game ending interceptions and fumbles as well.
It’s easy for any NFL quarterback to talk Xs and Os while up in a booth commentating. But he didn’t translate that **** on the field. 300 yards passing means nothing if you don’t win.

They were 19th in opposing PPG which is much more important.
If you actually do a deep dive in those seasons. They did not give up many tds on defense. Offense gave up a couple and I believe special teams as well. 2007 for example. Offense had 2 ints returned for a td and fumble for a td. Special teams gave up a kickoff and punt return for a td. So if you take away 35 points they actually finish 7th in points allowed

Cool, as long as you do that for every team. Doing that for just Dallas is disingenuous.

No thanks, I'm content with leaving them at 19th.
Romo had 2 very bad defenses in 2012 & 13. But other than that we had decent teams. Same as Dak. I don't believe dak should get a big extension with his play this year.

Here you go:
2006= 20th ranked defense
2007= 13th ranked defense
2008= 20th ranked defense.
2009= 2nd ranked defense (surprise. Won the division and first playoff game)
2010= 31st ranked defense. Wow what a drop
2011= 16th ranked defense.
2012= 24th ranked defense.
2013= 26th ranked defense
2014= 15th ranked defense
2015 Romo hurt 4-12 season
2016= 5th ranked defense. What? Dak had a top 5 defense. We won our division lost in the playoffs
2017= 13th ranked defense.

So you were saying what? Seems you don't know what the hell you are talking about. Take your crap elsewhere.

Romo had 1 season with a top 10 defense. 1. That year they won a playoff game. Every other year they were at best avg. 6 of his years they had below average defenses. That is 60% Dakey. Only 10% with a top 10 defense.

You really should research before you speak......
