not sure what this is suppose to point out, I guess by your inference Staubach was a bum because he sat 2 1/2 years on the bench, but won a super bowl in year 3, yes riding the bench a few years makes you a bum, come on get real. What anyone before did has no bearing on what Dak does, his play speaks for it's self.
No as you were saying it took a while for those other quarterbacks to find their way but yet they expect perfection out of Dak in the beginning of year 3
I don't know if the kid's gonna make it or not but I can tell you the system hes in sucks and does not fit his skill set at all.
not to mention hes getting crap for pass protection.
All I'm saying is it took others much longer to ripen then the time you're giving this kid.

Blah blah blah. The whole I did this and that internet argument nonsense, so I know what I am talking about, even though my comments prove otherwise.

Romo is gone. Romo was a great QB.
Dak is here. Dak is not a good QB.

Team game is a team game.
Keep believing that homey

You did. I mean, he never got to an nfc championship. You keep telling me. If it wasn't all on him, why keep bringing it up?
Because apparently you don't get it. My point is....if it is all on the QB like you think it is, then how can Romo be so GREAT if he never got the Cowboys a CHANCE to play in the NFC Championship game?

It’s not an excuse, it’s a fact that Romo is in a booth watching plays unfold. Of course, good QBs do all the things right. Brady, Brees, etc. How many of those are out there? How do you know what play routes are designated hot ? How does a QB pick up a blitz, as you’ve stated? Do you even know how that works at the LOS?
there are at least 15-20 other QBs that do a better job than Dak, not just trees and Brady.....How does a QB pick up a blitz? by defensive alignment, and he can thwart that by setting up the WRs with the hot route and if the defense blitzes, then that's where the ball is going, right behind them with a 3 step drop.... or if they show two blitzes, then he can and should make adjustments at the line with the WRs and once play starts, quickly see where the blitz is coming from. He holds the ball way too long and his first reaction when things aren't perfect is to pull the ball down and scramble and hopefully see an open WR or just run it....

all good QBs, make reads before the snap, make adjustments...we are not asking him to be einstein.

I bet the Romo blow-up dolls got squeezed up something fierce yesterday.

Dak can not perform in linehan's system, others could, a blue chipper with a shotgun arm would do just fine
but that's not Dak he needs the same offense he ran in 2014 it's not rocket science so either flush the kid down the toilet and draft a quarterback or put him in a position to make plays.

And at this point I really don't give a dam which one
btw, he wasn't that great in 2016 if that's what you mean. he was flawed then too, but winning masks a lot of ugliness and skews our views....

I don't think Dak can be successful in any system, even the one they run in north carolina...his problems are not reading defenses, not being able to adjust the WRs once he sees defensive alignment, not seeing the field and not being accurate....

Lol....that's funny. Dak is a good QB. You just can't let Romo go. And because you can't let Romo go, no matter what good Dak does, it won't be enough for you. Let it go. Romo is gone. Romo never got us to an NFC Championship game. As far as me not understanding the basic principles...lol. That's funny too. I've played QB, HB and WR. And I've played CB and S. Oh, and get this...I've coached. So...no I don't understand the basic principles. I think YOU don't understand that it's a team game and not just the QB that's part of the team. Maybe I should hold online classes for people like you. Sounds like you've been mislead on a team concept.
that's funny, this is not about Romo, this is about Dak and Dak is not a good QB.... he single handedly cost us the game yesterday....and yes ROmo is gone, so forget about those comparisons...compare him to other QBs in the league right now and he is in the bottom 3 in one way or the other......

Who said anything about things needing to be perfect for Dak? But if you wnat to blame Dak alone, then you're blind or jaded to the rest of the game. Dak did an excellent job of giving us an opportunity of at least tying the game after being down by 10 with over four minutes to go. But let me guess....it's his fault that the kick was missed right?
that's the point, he put us in that hole.... the defense held them to 13 points, with our offense averaging in general about 14, outside of the jags game..

Hmmm...well, what about the run game? 33 yards from Zeke? And I'm Zeke's biggest fan. The O-line? Holding penalties that killed a couple big plays? What about playcalling? Calling obvious plays that constantly get stopped. Yet, Dak put us in this hole alone? Wow....Did Dak's high school beat your high school or something? Or, are you on the can't let Romo go train?

Some truth here.

The ultimate team game is football. I mean, even if one player on one side of the ball made up 100% of the impact (totally impossible) it'd still be less than half of the total team effort.
No other game like it.

Doesn't mean Dak is not playing very poorly. But it is for sure not all on him.

Pick up a blitz? Your wording is odd. When I hear pick up a blitz I think about lineman sliding or the RBs nixing a route to block. The OL is responsible for calling alignment and adjusting the blocking scheme to account for a blitz. The QB can call a hot route and adjust his RB block and he may be doing that. How do you know the defenses aren’t accounting for the hot route with a safety shade or just flat out zone blitzing? Obvious blitzes are easy to audible against. When has that not happened? QBs learn that at the high school level.

I have a feeling a 29 year old romo with this team and schedule would be 6-1 right now. And he’d have 22 touchdowns and 5 picks.

Dak brought us back to tie the game. The OL and wrs are garbage

yes he can miss open receivers but I for one think he's thinking ok how can I survive the jailbreak through the line and still find my receiver ......

Nice summary and well stated. Even Brady looks mediocre when he is rushed/pummeled.

Dak is bad most of the time

Romo was bad some of the time but at the worst time

Dak at his best is Alex Smith and at his worst Blake Bortles

I do know one thing. Romo makes that TD pass to win the game in late October...he also fumbles that ball into his own end zone in late December
