Talk about fans living in the moment. lol This thread could have been any QB vs Dak and most would pick the other QB. Many of you must have forgot what it was like with Romo. After the 2012 season that saw Romo meltdown in a season finale elimination game with 3 INTs against a one legged rookie RG3, the majority of the fan base couldn’t wait to get rid of Romo. He was up for a contract extension and no one wanted to pay him. He was being called a choker and that we would never win anything with him. Sound familiar? Not many QBs have a lowlights video. Enjoy the memories.

That was good, KJJ. Now, tell us the story again how Dak beat up Tom Brady and made him retire. I love that story.

(wink, wink, thumbs up).

Clearly i'm out of my mind making this comment (there I said it for you, be nice). Either way, we know what Romo brought to the game, he was able to juke a pass rusher like no one else. Dak is a freight train. Neither player was/is known for being clutch. Who ya got, this should be easy!!?
We already had a chance to make this decision in real life and the consensus was Dak. Time has a way of making people's memory foggy. Do you people not recall Romo's meritocracy speech? Even he conceded Dak was our rightful QB1.

Of course he conceded, he knew his time was up after getting the hell beat out of him time and time again trying to win games. But, he did have one good chance left but was not giving that chance. Yeah, Yeah, I know I've heard it before because some posters can read the future, he would have just gotten hurt again.

I do not believe you have researched this particular YouTube creator's library.
I didn’t, however I’m not sure there’s another NFL QB that has as many video’s highlighting their negative plays as Romo. Even his trip to Cabo with Jessica Simpson just prior to the playoff game against the Giants in 07 gets mentioned a lot. Many fans here (the ones that hate Dak) act like we had it so much better with Romo which is BS! They claim he never had any good teams with the Cowboys and that the teams Dak has played for have been so much better. More BS! We had the same issues with him as we have with Dak but Romo was much more mistake prone and many of his big mistakes came late in games in a critical moment with the game on the line and that’s a fact!

I’d take Romo. He showed more talent in his time as starter.

Dak was 23 years old when he became the Cowboys starter. Romo was 26.5. I think if Romo had those extra three seasons, he’d be way past Dak in terms of stats, and Dak wouldn’t catch up.

Those who keep starting these threads I’ll keep reminding you what it was like with Romo. :thumbup:There were no SBs or divisional round wins with him either. We made the playoffs more times with Dak and we won the NFC East more times with him in fewer seasons. You guys who act like we had it so much better with Romo are just blowing smoke because of your dislike for Dak. Many are stil hating on him for stealing Romo’s job and getting him released. Get over it!

Romo wasn’t ready to play when he first arrived. He was a project. Had he been thrown out there as a rookie he wouldn’t have lasted long as the starter. He almost got cut in year two.

Come on KJJ, again, please tell us the story about how Dak made Brady retire. I could hear that story time and time again. I mean that was the game of his life and a great story. Dak made Brady look like a fool, huh.

This is another example of how nostalgia rewrites history. Romo did not have a better career.

I don’t even think of the Broncos game. Choke on the regular season all you want. I was more so talking about win or go home games…

Peyton was superior to Romo. I don’t knock Romo for losing a battle to him.
You can't really compare QBs in that game in 2013. Romo had an 8-8 team, playing a super bowl team. The only reason I take Romo over Dak is because he had many comebacks. You're not seeing any 2 minute comebacks from Dak. It's just not going to happen.

I’m not talking about that game specifically. I’m saying Peyton was a superior QB to Romo so him losing on his interception….it’s just ehh to me.

You can say he’s not gonna have any 2 minute comebacks but he came back against Seattle, DET and Chargers.

Neither of them have done squat. Romo's career is over and Daks career is coming up. Whoopee!

He didn’t but if you read some of the responses you would think we won championships with him. We’ve had more success with Dak during the regular but the playoffs were the same for both.

That was five video examples. I will definitely not do a deep dive into posting an unlimited number of videos--hosted on YouTube or elsewhere--attempting to counter your suggestion ' I’m not sure there’s another NFL QB that has as many video’s highlighting their negative plays as Romo'. A site such as YouTube alone will have x-number of channels, available from x-number of video creators, who have provided content that I would hypothesize reaches into the hundreds--if not thousands--of videos referencing poor plays by past and present NFL quarterbacks. Nope. Not participating in that nonsense.

Instead (and without engaging in the customary Prescott/Romo tic-for-tat), I will post YouTube results equaling your five representations using Philip Rivers as a countering example. Note: I will use links instead of embedded videos that may or may not show here on CowboysZone. I have a longstanding personal peeve with YouTube not allowing outside sites to play their videos, lol:

Example 1
Example 2
Example 3
Example 4
Example 5

As far as your earlier post, I will insert a partial list of 'lowlight' videos published by the creator (reviewable via this link) of the Romo lowlight video you embedded. Note, the creator includes non-quarterback videos on the subject also:

Ben Roethlisberger
Brady Quinn
Brandon Weeden

Cade McNown
Caleb Williams
Cam Newton
Carson Wentz
Dak Prescott
