All that lots of people are going to care about is that he hasn't won in December and January (Even though that is an entire team failure rather than the failure of just one person) and will downplay that he's a very good QB.

Some of those guys on that list would totally suck behind our O-line, like Peyton Manning for example...

Tell me how many of the guys around Romo have rings. Trying to pinpoint rings on a single player, when rings only happen for teams that play great down the stretch, doesn't mean crap.

Exactly. Great as guys like Manning are they'd be destroyed behind our average pass blocking O-Line.

Actually, if you put up the number of rings after two full seasons starting you will find very few rings amoung that group.

While I agree, other players on the team have hurt the team in those December/January games, Romo has been able to single-handedly hurt the team by giving up points to the other team's defenses. And while he isn't alone in that category, but he is at the top of that list for this team so far...

Mark Rypien has a ring, so does Trent Dilfer. It doesn't mean that they were great QBs.

Dan Marino doesn't have a ring, does that make him a choker?

In fairness, most of the guys on this list have been at it for a considerable length of time. I think you have to context his numbers with the length of time he has produced. This kind of statistice will mean much, much more if he is able to sustain it for 10 years or so. JMO.

Yep, all those interceptions he has thrown in the playoffs have really killed us!

Wait, I just checked and he has only thrown 1 (one) interception in the two playoff games! Well that can't be right he's the reason we lost isn't he?

Well, what about December, he hasn't played well in December either and that's what we meant. Too bad he didn't bring us back and put is position to win that Ravens game, TWICE because then our defense would have held the them and we could have won our final game at Texas Stadium.

And what was he thinking throwing to his best receiver against the Stealers like that and getting intercepted? Who in their right minds would expect that scrub Jason Witten to run the right route and catch the ball?

You want me to keep going?

Stupid Romo, he totally sucks!!!

Actually, a FG would not have won that game anyway. The Seahawks were able to move at will on us in the 4th quarter and could have easily gotten into FG and won the game anyway.

If we would have had a kicker who wasn't a 75 lb pansy he could have at least gotten in front of the guy coming all the way from the other side of the line and given Romo enough time to either score a TD or get the first down at the 1.

You're wasting your time man. your hard facts and figures are going in one ear and out the other with that poster. All I have to say to fans who want to bring Romo down that bad is go get some perspective and watch the games of the scrubs we had to usher onto the field before Romo and after aikman and actually go watch film of Romos games to see how often than not that he has put us into position to win games.

Not to mention many game winning passes that were dropped on numerous occasions.

Passer Ratings should include fumbles.

Are you serious??

The Colts O-line has been putrid for the better part of the last two seasons.

I don't care about any of the QB's you named. I'm talking about Tony Romo. You can pull out all the stats you want but he needs to tighten up his game.

When you have a qb like Manning who gets rid of the ball fast with his accuracy, he can overcompensate for his offensive line, so knockdowns and sacks wont really reflect the performance of his line. Im sure most dont even watch Colt games, but their line was shuffled all last year, and even didnt have Lilja the entire season. Ugoh, Saturday, Diem all missed time, so 2 rookies (Pollack and the rookie center from Uni. of Buffalo) had to take on a large role, especially early when Manning was recovering from his knee injury. (Will most readers even know who the lineman are for the Colts, probably not so how can anybody on here really talk about the Colts line?)

I bet Peyton would have played with a hurt pinkie.

However, when you have a qb like romo who holds onto the ball and waits for a receiver to break wide open because he isnt accurate enough to make a completion when his receiver isnt wide open, then people will pin the blame on the offensive line. Manning's completions are downfield, romo has the luxury of making short passes that his receivers have turned into long gains that inflate his stats. Without Owens, teams will clamp down on the receivers cause there will be no threat on the outside like Owens. Unless Austin can do more then run straight down the field, teams will know what to look for when he lines up. Witten also wont have the luxury of single coverage with a linebacker since he is the only reliable target, teams will make it a point to do their best to take him away.

How is Romo not accurate?
