Romo vs Everybody Else

To those defending Tony Romo with stats to other Dallas Cowboys fans, good luck with that.

As they told me in the early 1980s while I was defending Danny White, "Stats don't mean squat."

In Dallas a QB is judged by how many rings he earns for the team. Anything less than that, he is a complete failure.

There is no middle ground for a Cowboys QB. Always has been this way and always will be. Assinine attitude, but no less a fact :starspin

QB Rating all time Highest
1. Steve Young+ 96.8
2. Peyton Manning (32) 94.7
Tony Romo (28) 94.7
4. Kurt Warner (37) 93.8
5. Tom Brady (31) 92.9
Philip Rivers (27) 92.9
7. Joe Montana+ 92.3
8. Chad Pennington (32) 90.6
9. Drew Brees (29) 89.4
Ben Roethlisberger (26) 89.4
So please all you Romo haters please educate yourselves .

Thank you Sir. Apparently me ranking Romo a currently playing top 5 QB was awful generous of me in an early conversation with other zoners. Apparently McNabb, Warner, Rivers and Roethlisberger are clearly better than Romo according to others "in the know".

If we look back 2 seasons ago Romo looked like the 3rd best QB in the game. Thanks for the info, I always say Romo's a cross section of Brett Favre and Steve Young. 2 totally different players. I want him to be more like Young.

Now put up the number of Rings they all got and tell me where he is on that list. Killin me with all these stats that don't mean ****

yeah, and also put up the number of rings the rest of this Cowboy team got, especially Jason Garrett and Wade Phillips while you are at it.

* wondering if we can get Rex Grossman in to QB the Cowboys because you know he won some games in December, hasn't he?

Mark Rypien has a ring, so does Trent Dilfer. It doesn't mean that they were great QBs.

Dan Marino doesn't have a ring, does that make him a choker?

You people :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

* forgot about Trent Dilfer, he has a ring doesn't he? wow sign him up while he is still old.

Actually, a FG would not have won that game anyway. The Seahawks were able to move at will on us in the 4th quarter and could have easily gotten into FG and won the game anyway.

If we would have had a kicker who wasn't a 75 lb pansy he could have at least gotten in front of the guy coming all the way from the other side of the line and given Romo enough time to either score a TD or get the first down at the 1.

You know, every time I see that replay I'm almost amazed that Romo didn't score. He picked the ball right up, immediately took off to the best path to the endzone, and barely got caught a foot from the goalline. If that Seattle DB isn't tearing around the corner full speed, or if it's a LB or someone else a half-step slower, Romo scores and is probably a hero for being so quick-witted in that situation.

And I agree that there's a fair chance Seattle would've driven down and won even if we'd kicked the FG. Even after the bobble, we could've gotten the ball back at their 40 or so if we'd stopped them and made them punt. Instead, we let Alexander bust off 20 yards or whatever it was.

How is Romo not accurate?

Yea how isnt he accurate. Ive seen him throw it completely on point to a defended when the game was on the line MANY times. And he is all of a sudden not accurate....come on.

Oh wait he was supposed to throw that to our WR , well let me rethink my position..

There is NO WAY you can compare Romo to 3/4 of that list at all. Now comparing him to JP Losman, Kerry Collins, Gus Ferrottes you know that the list he needs to be on.

Yes he has. He has led a team to the Super Bowl. Romo has led this team to disappointment over and over...

How about rings in their first 3 seasons as a starter? Lets wait til the end of the guys career to start talking what he has or hasnt won.

Every time I see it, I am waiting for our kicker to get in the way of the defender coming at him instead of just standing there watching.
