Romo was an amazing quarterback

Kept us in games we had no business winning, was amazing in the clutch, made putrid teams with porous o-lines, no run game and atrocious defenses worth watching (some of those 8-8 seasons would have been 3-13 or 2-14 without him), kept running for his life and the accumulation of injuries got to him in the end. When the old fool finally decided to give him a line it was already too late, his body was broken.

Made some mistakes earlier in his career and got vilified for it, anyone with an iota of football knowledge know how talented he was. In his prime he was a top 5 QB in the league, unquestionably.
Romo had the worst defense in the history of the NFL. Romo had to be perfect 5 times or more every game in the 2nd half to have an opportunity to win. He failed one time, and it was magnified because the defense never picked him up. The one time he didn't fail the League office had already decided Green Bay was going to win that game.

You can’t respect Prescott without people thinking you’re disrespecting somebody else and vice versa. I really think it’s a sad time the age we live in. We just can’t appreciate what we have. I know you do and I do definitely, you’ll learn from the past and you go forward.

Well, exactly. Even in 2016, I liked Romo and Dak. I got called a fence sitter for it, and I don't mind that. I'm not going to bash Romo to support Dak or vice versa.

How nice you pick and choose, I didn’t think I wrote this by itself. I wrote it with the explanation. That you chose to ignore.
I 'pick and choose' whatever I feel is relevant to respond to. This is your full comment:

I don’t see where people prop up, Prescott, and put down Romo. That’s not what they do. it’s people that try to compare that to maybe. Romo was a warrior. He was an excellent quarterback, and he got better as the years went on. Extremely better after he got married in my opinion. But then his body broke down. Same thing with Prescott is getting better with the age. But people hated him from the beginning because of Romo. I’m sick of those people they lost their hero and Prescott took over and now he’s a bum because of it.

That’s why some people say cowboy fans, LMAO they’re the embarrassment not the franchise

Above is your response to the OP, which was this:

I can’t believe there are Cowboys “fans” who not only trash Aikman but Romo too. Tony Romo was a legend and a man. Yeah we never won a Super Bowl with him but that was a man I could respect. I’m getting really tired of all these people who come on here to prop up Dak and in the process are trying to tarnish Troy’s legacy and Romo’s heroics. Not trying to make another Dak thread but enough with trolling these boards! Tony Romo was talented and we wish we could have a man like that again running this football team

It was an OP transparently baiting Dak Prescott enthusiasts. That said, he described members disparaging accomplishments or non-achievements of Troy Aikman and Tony Romo by placing either in a lesser light relative to Prescott's accomplishments or non-achievements.

I do not read every word posted on this site. Far from it. Arguably, I have read far more than the average member on a near daily basis since I joined the site twenty years ago--especially during my fifteen or so years as a moderator. Reviewing threads and posts is kinda part of the job description, lol.

What I stated in the first paragraph is not conjecture. I am clarifying what has been observed, of which anyone can disagree if they wish. It does not alter what I have observed posted in the Fan Zone, Overtime Zone, etc., since August 2016.

If he is a bum...it is certainly not because he took over for Romo almost 10 years ago.

Aikman won Super Bowls... Romo won nothing. No comparison between the two. Romo's greatest achievement was dropping Jessica Simpson off at a truck stop and driving away.

Blah blah blah , I get it, I do. This is a touchy situation for me, Romo, because I respected both of them.

You don’t understand something. I don’t have the same opportunity. You have to read every single article since the site was opened. so when you responded with the wow , I took it kind of personal. When I should’ve said to myself, he’s just stating in general. And that’s the way. I’ll take your quotes from now on. Just a basic response. Nothing personal about it. And I don’t mean take it personal I mean, there’s no connection.

May I ask you a question if I may. Why are you a cowboy fan?
. Not how you became a fan.
Why you still are a fan.
Life. People come. People go. Yet some things reign eternal.

I fell in love with the franchise. The franchise is the Dallas Cowboys :starspin:. I have not fallen out of love with the franchise because it still exists. The franchise will still be here LONG after I have started pushing up daisies. Nothing, in the literal sense, that people, including and not stopping with Jerral Wayne Jones Sr., can and shall do, will ever cause me to love the franchise one iota less.

Questions: Why are you, a Dallas Cowboys fan, asking another Dallas Cowboys fan, why they are still a fan? Are you confused?

I have an 18-year-old male cat, putting him down this morning. I’m a little emotional. That’s how the old site used to be, you got really personable with the people the community

thank you for the laugh, cowboy brother. I’m putting my 18-year-old cat to sleep this morning. I needed that response. Have a great day.

I’m a cowboy fan because I believe in Mr. cowboy, I believe in the star and what it represents.
It was an honest question, what keeps you loyal to the franchise. I’m not confused the people that don’t know why their fans are the ones that are confused in my opinion.
I haven’t put you in a category, because I don’t categorize people like myself. I’m an individual and I’m proud of it.

I’ve had people tell me you know what actually I don’t know why I’m still a cowboy fan. That was a good question they tell me. So why would I be confused? I’m not sure why you would even think that.
unless you think everybody has the same reason, lol

I would think it would be obvious why. But just because you are, doesn't mean zero criticism, right or wrong.

And does it really matter to YOU,,,why people are "still" fans? They get to fan how they want just like you. Imagine...they might think YOUR idea of fanning is wrong.

Oh no NOW what do we do!!???
