Romo was an amazing quarterback

Who is trashing Romo? Is it considered trashing if we acknowledge some of Romo's limitations? Romo had some pretty good teams and he lost in the playoffs just like Dak. Why is it okay to criticize Dak for failing to win but not Romo?

Romo was a good QB. He had some real talent at the position. But he had his limitations too, some of the same limitations as Dak. He also got a huge contract, for his time, just before his body started to fail him.

just imo, but what is left out here in both cases, is the lack of a good HC during Romo's good years, and dak's good years.

I dont blame Romo or Dak for not winning more in playoffs, due to they worked with poor HC's and staff's, and at times
did not have a good run game, and Romo never had a good defense, and dak didnt until Quinn and parsons got here.

QB's dont draft, run FA,build good defense's make game plans, or call plays. Yet they get the blame for losing, and credit for winning.

If you look at Eli, coughlin was a good HC, he had a good OC and DC, nyg had a good defense, and a great one in the 2 SB years.
But eli gets credit for winning 2 SB's, when really it was a "TEAM" WIN. Eli did play good in the playoffs. in those 2 SB years. but
he had the defense and the right coaches.
Both Romo and dak have never had that, but dak did have the defense for 2 years, 22 and 23, but coaching and culture, and jerry all threw a wrench
in the wheel.

Both romo and dak get a bad rep, for things they couldnt control.

EVen mahomes would have had a hard time winning a SB here with cowboys.

I can’t wait for the Super Bowl, first time in a while. I hate both teams. I’ll be watching for individual talent achievements.

I dont hate either team lol so I will enjoy it more than you .

KC kinda like them in mahomes era, and phil, I have to respect the team their GM has built.
The tush push is a big play for them and other teams cant duplicate it. Barclay has had a great year.

I will root for KC, but I think maybe Phil is better this time.

I'm pretty sure you're referring to the same site I was on, but there were plenty of Romo bashers there. From what I remember, it wasn't the vitriol we get here for Dak, but there were definitely haters.

There was no misfortune being the QB after Romo. We won nothing with him. Some fans need to stop acting like he had a bunch of skins on the wall. What we’ve gone through with Dak at QB is the same thing we went through with Romo at QB.

I'm just explaining that it is unfortunate for Dak, because right or wrong, people are more frustrated as the years pile up since we won anything significant. Like I said it has less to do who the quarterback is than people thinking that it has been ~30 years since the cowboys won a championship, versus if it had been 20 years versus if it had been 10 years. People see that we are at the same place now as where we were during the Romo era. Like I said, they might be less willing to give the next quarterback the same amount of time as the previous quarterback just out of growing exasperation. I doubt that people are going to say, well lets give the next quarterback after Dak, 10 more years to surpass 2 wins in the playoffs.

I'm convince that movie creates Dak haters. The last person to watch it wanted Dak team mates to beat him up for bad performance like Private Pile did for messing up.

Both Romo and Dak earned the criticism of coming up short in the playoffs. Aikman's best season was the postseason.

Anyone criticizing Aikman, or worse, using his name in the same sentence as Dak and Romo, has been a Cowboys fan for 23 or less seasons. It's possible that they cannot comprehend the vast difference in the importance of a late playoff game compared to the regular season.

Those that believe Dak and Romo are even close to Aikman or Staubach point to regular season games for evidence. There was a time when the regular season was regarded as little more than qualifying rounds, important only for playoff positioning.

The games that all NFL fans will remember are played in late January these days. Therefore, history will only remember Romo and Dak as "other" Cowboys quarterbacks, those that occupied the position between the eras of the great ones.
