Romo was an amazing quarterback

The fans have high expectations of the team but the more money a QB makes, the higher the expectations they have on the QB.
True that can be a factor as well, but people become more impatient and exasperated the longer they wait, so if you the last quarterback in a sequence, they might not be willing to give you as much time to prove yourself as they did the last quarterback. That is not to say that Dak didn't have time. I mean it is going to be year 10.

I always liked Romo he was an exciting player to watch with his escapability and ability to improvise. When he threw the ball down the field I always felt like good things could happen as he released it.

However, his lack of playoff success and reputation for not playing as well in December, will hold him out of being included as one of the great QBs of his era. Certainly one of the top 5 QBs to play for the Cowboys though.

I would like to argue that the fact he was doing what he was doing with Jason Garrett at head coach should be proof that he was borderline elite if not elite.

Romo had time and so has Dak. Both had some good teams. Dak has been the QB for almost as long as Romo.

I’m done with Prescott, he’s one hit away from having the same season career ending as Romo . Cowboy fans we are blessed to have them both. After Troy Aikman, we had like 17 different quarterbacks before we found Tony. We didn’t have to do that. We were blessed to get Prescott in the fourth round. It’s not his fault he has to deal with a Jerry organization.

I'm curious to see who starts the first hate thread for Dak's replacement and when.

I could imagine either one of them Emmett Smith or Tony Dorsett. Running back type, but who couldn’t do well with those.

No kidding, but a healthy Romo with Zeke or Derrick Henry would have been a beautiful sight. Especially with Dez still being as good as he was in 2016. It's not to take anything away from Dak. I like Dak a lot, and it's well known. However, I'm simply saying this out of curiosity.

Sadly we never had a good owner and GM on the team or the guy would have had some Super Bowls! It is not surprising to see Ware leaving the team only to win a ring.

You can’t respect Prescott without people thinking you’re disrespecting somebody else and vice versa. I really think it’s a sad time the age we live in. We just can’t appreciate what we have. I know you do and I do definitely, you’ll learn from the past and you go forward.

On the old site, if anybody dared bash Romo. Most of us would chime in and chase them away. Lol there’s no loyalty it’s gone. I say something about Prescott. That’s good .and all of a sudden I’m a loser. Say something about Romo that’s negative, which I don’t, all of a sudden I’m a hater.
I am an individual I and I alone choose what I like or don’t like, some of, these people are freaking crazy

I was wrong. It's 250!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
People don’t want to talk about football, they wanna argue. People aren’t happy and unless their bashing something it makes them feel good in their own lives I guess.

I came here to be neutral, praising both quarterbacks, I’m a Cowboys fan. It’s all good in my opinion except for the owner lol. And I can find good things about him also.

I'm not arguing that. Just saying that Dak has the misfortune of being the QB after Romo. The exasperation in fans has grown and they tend to be willing to move on a lot quicker than they did for Romo. That is just my opinion.

I agree for the most part definitely. 30 years of frustration, for some. I enjoy watching knowing we can beat any team we face.

I can’t wait for the Super Bowl, first time in a while. I hate both teams. I’ll be watching for individual talent achievements.

There was no misfortune being the QB after Romo. We won nothing with him. Some fans need to stop acting like he had a bunch of skins on the wall. What we’ve gone through with Dak at QB is the same thing we went through with Romo at QB.
