hey wait a sec...i have been touting romo since last year when he did the same thing in the other preseason game

parcells said he was going to be good last year, so did key

parcells said that this year too....he knows he watches him everyday

last week in the scrimmage he did better against the 1st team D than bledsoe...and he had the 2nd team with him...

per the guy from espn he said that everyone is saying romo is playing better than bledsoe in preseason and bleddy can only take us to 9 wins...

THEN romo starts and goes off tonight...

this just didnt happen tonight...my belief in romo...and i have had NO BEERS...

Remember last year bledsoe was part of the reason we didnt make it to the playoffs...not just the blocking...he doesnt get rid of the ball soon enough and HE WONT...he has always been like that...he isnt the answer trust me...we need to go with romo...most in the dallas camp think it will happen soon ed werder said the other day...what do you think that means?

I agree. I'm just tired of Drew. I'm sorry, just being honest. I think he's a fine QB, just slow as all hell, can't avoid himself and very mistake prone. I can't call it right now but we may have an interesting development.

Very good point ...... its easy to let some people on this board and their agendas blur the big picture ....

Romo has shown something in a game ...... and he looked great doing it

Missed the point, but that's expected

yes, you did. And yes, It was.

Henson is not good. He's a nobody. Its been years now and we've seen nothing.

Then again, neither is romo. He's a nobody, and he's had 1 great half of preseason football. The list of QBs that have had a good preseason game or two and never did jack in the league is quite a long one.

The heir to Drew Bledsoe is NOT on this team.

Romo has shown a HECK of a lot. Personally, I think he could lead this team. Will he? You'd have to say not because Bledsoe is such a veteran... but I think Romo could do it. Maybe better than Drew if the pass protection isn't that good. He REALLY impressed me.

Just like during practice with the air horn... Romo was consistantly getting his passes of earlier than Drew. That will help with poor protection. Better mobility clearly would help too. He doesn't have Bledsoe's experience, but he's been there long enough to not play anything like a rookie.

He looked excellent.

The point was, no one with a username asking for Drew Henson to be the starting QB deserves to be taken seriously

About anything

its time to put bledsoe out to pasture...let him be the backup...just look at what happened last week in the scrimmage...you guys all know what happened...proof right there...tonight is more proof

You know I 've been talking Romo for 2 years, always thought he had what it took.

It's beyond me how you guys manage to turn positives into negatives! What we found out tonight is that this team, a team which is a Superbowl hopeful this year, has a solid #2 quarterback who can lead this team in a pinch if Bledsoe goes down. The people who want to bench Bledsoe for Romo just baffle me.

All in all though, a very good night. I think what we saw is that this team has serious depth across the board and a defense that could be downright scary good.

Oh, lest I forget, an opposing team's field goal kicker missed a try tonight. Very good omen. :)

LOL! Half of Seattle's defense was injured! Ya, Drew Henson could have looked like Brett Farve tonight against that defense.

Hmmmm are you saying because he at one time thought something that in hindsight was wrong, his opinion should not be taken seriously?

You should just hush up, because you have said a lot of stupid things in your days at the zone.

I was pleasantly surprised. Romo looked like what the Boys have been looking for. I hope this is just how he plays, solid with a Quick release, good decisions etc. My problem with Bledsoe is he wears down as the season goes on. I think that all the preseason snaps and then the regular season grind wears on him. And he is a slow decision maker. Maybe the Boys have a player. How ironic would it be if Bledsoe got so unlucky to have Brady behind you and then "what if " Romo turns out to be the real deal. I'm stoked and very optimistic about Romo. Wait til Saints next week and we can make a little better accessment on him

I guess you have to be drafted high or attend a big name college football program before fans take you serious. Can't believe there are people chiming in to knock Romo. The guy looked good! Probabably looked better than ANY young QB we've knocked out in the preseason since Aikman! Funny how it happened. It all goes back to Landry and his theory on QBs. We were hyping guys like Carter, Hutchinson, and Henson who were all rushed before their time and from big pedigree, when it all goes back to Landry, and the guy who had 3 years to prepare is suddenly the one who looks so darn good. :)

ITS ONE HALF OF FOOTBALL.

If Tony Romo continues playing well throughout the preseason, then yes, I'll agree we might have a capable backup on our hands. But to be the Second Coming like the Romo Defense Force sees, holy crap.

Drew Bledsoe has been to ProBowls. Romo has been a cowboy for several seasons now and this is the first time he hasn't looked lost in a game. Let's temper our excitement, shall we?
