Didn't just beat them, we effectively eliminated them.

Great feeling.

Re-reading my own post in your reply to me:

Damn! I should be pulled over for DWT!

Anybody know what Romo' 4thQ stats are from Dec-Jan? I think that's why he gets such a bad rep. Late in the season when stakes are much higher. If his numbers are the still high then I stand corrected...

Plus his fumble for loss of 30 yards, but the other thing. Let the haters hate, we know Romo is greatness.

That was brutal..i love his fighting after the catch, but he just needs to go down in a lot of cases. I hold my breath everytime he's doing that.

He's one of the highest rated QB's in the league in December also.

he played very well on that last drive.

but he has a career passer rating of 74.5 (or something close) when they game is tied or within 7 points, 5 minutes or less in the game.

so lets not act like he's some super clutch qb.

Can't you just say, "Good job Romo for driving the team down the field to win a must win game on the road against a division opponent playing to save their season?"

I don't get posts like yours. Do you want Romo to fail or like it when he does? The team did what they had to do and Romo was a huge part of it.

im not here to post for you. im here to post my opinion. Im glad the team won. But to say Romo got it done and praise be to him. nope. Ill start giving him praise for bad throws when people start praising jerry jones when dallas wins and stops blaming him when they lose

There's a reason why he's the highest rated 4th quarter QB in NFL history. It's because he's darn good in the clutch.

But only in the regular season, and not even the "big" games, or "spotlight" games, or "do or die" games, or "Big TV Audience" games.

This game didnt mean anything for at least 2 reasons. Most importantly reason #1 - Romo pulled it out so it COULDNT have been a spotlight game. #2 - it wasnt the last game of the season with everything on the line.

You realize he blows a lot too. Should I make a thread the next time he throws a pick in the final 2 minutes?

you do realize that given the situation you laid out, you would only have started a thread 4 times in his entire career, right? even if you extend it to the final 4 minutes, its only 8 in his entire career.

This isn't a comment on you, at all, so don't take it that way.

But that's the dumbest stat of all time. It's like they had to justify his high 4 qtr rating with some made-up stat.

I've been watching the NFL for 25 years, and I have never, EVER seen that stat referenced or cited in regards to another QB. Never.

It just seemed weird.

But how does that rank? The number itself is irrelevant, since I would imagine most quarterbacks are bad in those situations. It's like saying a .225 average is bad in 2 strike counts, when it's actually well above average.

Not really a fan of these kinda threads, but it's useful for finding the most bitter of Romo haters. The smart Romo haters know when to just take a break and wait for a better time to put their heads out.

Just enjoy the win.

That team just learned something, and that win has to have an effect on their confidence. This was a good road game against a division rival. The team did what they needed to do.

I bet nearly all QBs rating goes down in those situations. The defense knows you're going to throw and the QB is going to try to make a play. It means riskier throws so naturally there will be more INTs.

That number is meaningless unless you compare it to what other QBs do in the same situations.

I love arbitrary stats like that.

How did he do the rest of the game?

Based on that metric alone (last 5 mins) he had a horrible game against Denver...

In actuality he had one of the best games in the history of the sport.

At this point, we might as well just let the salt flow.
