Dallas had drives of 53, 40, 66, 54, 41, 59, 80. I dare you to go back the whole yr and brin up 1 game that a Romo led offense did that.
If a Romo-led offense wasted one of the best defensive performances of the year, nobody would be talking about yardage.

Romo has a 3 to 1 TD to INT ratio for the season, so if Romo threw 2 picks like Orton did, he would have given us 6 TDs to go along with it.

Yall can pretend Romo loses that game all day, but the facts are that we have scored at least 25 points in every single home game Romo played this year...............ergo, we would have beat Philly who scored 24.................end thread.

Orton attempted throws we don't see from Romo.
Dez HAS TO catch that ball in end zone.

Orton ends game with int like Romo.

What are we talking about here?
Orton threw a pretty nice ball to Dez for a would be TD while an untouched blitzer was a step from leveling him. Dez just didnt get a jump because he located it late and then didnt have the feet planted right to make a jump for the ball.

But Romo does not do that there. He takes a sack or tries to bob and weave and scramble - if he gets loose maybe something happens on a broken play - maybe something good, maybe something bad. But the other team has no reason to stop blitzing because they know romo isnt likely to even try to make that play.

Orton made a good throw with heavy pressure and the TD to Dez at the end was also off a blitz-gamble by the eagles def coordinator.

I would rather se my QB beat the blitz with a throw than scrambling.

The cowboys dont do that with romo and that is why they still have trouble with the blitz.

I diagree. we may have scored more but so would the eagles due to less sustained drives and more 3 and outs by romo that put the defense in bad spot.

Complete BS. You don't score more points with fewer sustained drives.

Skip Bayless just said if Romo played, the Cowboys win easily.

You want to see how good orton was tonight, then just use your eyes. He made a big mistake at the end of the game. but i saw him make passes that Romo just simply couldnt make at all this yr. More important he managed the game better, taking what the defense gave him and took Dallas on alot of long drives. Dallas had drives of 53, 40, 66, 54, 41, 59, 80. I dare you to go back the whole yr and brin up 1 game that a Romo led offense did that. If Romo played with Ortons patience this team would be in the playoffs.

Which is most likely the reason for a better showing from the defense

He's saying that the Eagles may have scored more because with Romo playing, we might have had fewer sustained drives, thus allowing the Eagles Offense to have more shots at our D.

Last night, Bayless said that signing Romo long term was the biggest mistake in a very long list of mistakes by Jerry. He said that Romo was one of the main reasons the Cowboys would not win anytime soon.

Like the statement you just posted, I don't give the statement Bayless made last night, much validity.

yet we scored 12 points less then our average and the least amount of points at home all year.

how is it that you claim we seem more organized, while being the least productive all season at home.

please explain that one for me

To be fair the Cowboys OFFENSE vs the NFC EAST scored 23 and 24 vs the Giants and Commanders at home....and were helped tremendously by a RGIII fumble near the goaline and another huge return by Harris in the Commanders game or that number would have been much lower.

The Romo haters must be frothing at the mouth. They cannot blame him for this game but are trying anyway; now suddenly Orton who was beaten out by TIM TEBOW is suddenly better than romo.

Just hilarious

If the D had given this effort in about three of our losses (Bears, Packers, Lions) we would have used this game to rest and already have won the divison. This game showed why the failure this year lays on the DEFENSE.

Agree with every word burm. Sometimes armchair GM's crack me up.

I agree with half of that statement. Signing Romo longer term was one of the biggest mistakes we could have made. We signed an old declining QB who is not a winner long term. We are a cash strapped team with many holes. There were better business decisions we could have made. We could have traded SF for Smith and traded Romo for a first. Are you telling me Smith couldn't get this team to 8-8 or better? How much does Smith make? We are paying Romo elite money and not getting elite play out of him. A team that is full of holes, simply cannot afford that. We will pay with more 8-8 or worse seasons because of this.

Yes i forgot that. The cowboys offense at home vs Commanders was worse than yesterdays except for romos drive at the end but the rest of the game was pretty bad. They were gifted the first 7 points by ST.
