wow, you think blaming the one guy who plays with poise, puts up good numbers, and goes the extra mile to try and win a ball game is the smart thing to do.

just goes to prove that a team is not one player (hence my sig)

Where was the poise when he was throwing passes directly into linebackers chests after the Chargers went up 17-10? And then proceed to a quick punt. Why do you Romo jocksniffers keep dodging what REALLY happened out there instead of looking at his stat line? Does teh truth hurt you that bad? Does it hurt you that he isn't as good as you thought he was? Get over it

December isn't over yet, but even I...who has harshly criticized Romo...think he's not the problem with these last two losses. I'll still wait and see because he needs to play well in these last three games because if he doesn't play well, then I don't see him as part of the solution. But if he plays like this in the last 3 games, I'll admit I was wrong.

We need to get rid of dumb players, particularly on our O-Line (no, Free isn't one of them), we need to get rid of Garrett and we need one of the better safeties in the league rather than goig with some run-of-the-mill player year after year.

You've gotta be kidding me.... You must be one of those "almost intercepted" guys too.

I'm not kidding you. Two of Romo's TD passes came in meaningless situations at the end of the game this week and last week. Not counting those, he led the offense to 17 and 10 points two weeks in a row. Now, I admit that its not his fault, but it also illustrates that he's not playing at such a level where he can take over a game like Farve or Brees or Manning or Brady.

I never believed the December curse stuff until today. Romo and Witten looked absolutely shell shocked. First time we ever lost when Newman has an INT.

Lose our best defensive player.

No, Ware hasn't been himself this year.

Jenkins is our best player

The facts are burning the souls of the Romosexuals.

This is dumb.

Then if you make excuses for his TDs, then I'll make excuses why he didn't score more.

He was going in for a TD last week when Barber fumbled.

He's had six points come off the board due to Folk's problems.

He had led the team to the one yard line today, but Barber couldn't punch it in.

The defense couldn't get off the field at the end of the game. They couldn't stop the Giants and the Chargers when the chips were down.

So, Romo led the team to twenty points that his teammates couldn't help him on.

I just don't get fans that do what you're saying. I hear folks say...."Take away that 60 yard run and we held the guy to only 40 yards rushing."

It's just silly.

He led the team to 24 and 17 points.....he got no help from the defense either week.

No, it's not dumb. If he were oh-so-elite like a Farve or Brees like several posters keep saying he is, we wouldn't be going into the final minutes of ballgames only having scored 17 and 10 points. It's not all his fault, but he's not putting the offense on his shoulders and coming up big in the clutch. Which is fine, I won't hold it against him, but don't try and tell me the guy is something when he hasn't shown it.

Man, is this all it takes for people to jump down your throat now? The mere suggestion that Tony Romo ISN'T playing in the 2009 Edition of Brett Farve stratosphere?

Pulling within one score late in the game is meaningless?

I take it you weren't a Cowboys fan way back in 2007?

It's less about Romo and more about the team. They have now lost the first two in December and if you don't think the mental aspect of what they're up against enters the picture you are fooling yourself.

Agree. Romo stepped up, the team hasn't come along for the ride. Seems like the opposite of last year. Romo had issues, the team seemed to be there. The law of averages says we'll all be on the same page one day...when will it come.

Romo gets a C for today's effort. The last drive against a defense playing soft puffed up his stats, but he came up with a big three and out the previous possession when they were still within one score. The stop at the one cost Dallas a TD, but Romo didn't contribute on that drive (wasn't given a chance to), so it's immaterial.

You guys blaming the DBs are barking up the wrong tree. These are the same DBs that have been playing good coverage and Newman, who gave up the 39 yarder behind him when the Safety bit inside, was also the guy who made the INT in the first half.

You can't find dbs who could have gotten the job done tonight. There was no pass rush at all...no pressure...no hands up...nothing but time and wide open spaces for Phillip Rivers who took advantage of it. Even when we brought 6 guys on several occasions, we were totally stonewalled by their OL.

DWare wasn't even in the area code going against their probowl OT.

Wade threw just about every blitz he had at them, inside with LB's, outside, you name it...we blitzed, they blocked, Rivers found guys crossing in the vacated middle.

Probably the worst pass rush we've had against anyone all season long.

And that's the point. Romo has gotten WAY too much blame for this TEAM'S failings in the past. If the defense and special teams did their part these past two weeks, we win one or both of these games.

It's sad that we are wasting these years that we have a very, very good QB.

Agree. Romo is one guy that I have been hard on but he has given me what I wanted to see this year. He has stepped up his game and is leading this team. Unfortunately he is up against an inadequate HC/DC/OC combination. He has no help whatsoever.

Agreed, and most people will miss this.

I think we even hit Rivers about 2 or 3 times all game.

Romo is not a championship level quarterback, but he is not the reason we lost this game. Our miserable coaching staff is the reason e loss the game. Week after week they get out coached, and after the game is over they have a million lame excuses

You're not a championship level quarterback until you get to the championship.

Duh.

So after another depressing defeat, someone's highest priority is ... posting Tony's stats and absolving him of all blame. Way to keep your eye on the prize.
Sorry I couldn't be more depressing there, beeb.
