Romo's Play

I love these posts that Romo's off. 67% on 51 attempts isn't "off". That's fantastic, especially considering the line.

Like i said earlier. It was fantastic enough to win.

I misread your post. My apologies. But my point still stands.

The numbers are impressive I understand. At the same time if your putting up that many passes its not hard to have impressive stats. I just feel like his accuracy could be better and we could cut down on those turn overs. The bigger problem for me is JG.

IN 2009, Dallas was 9-2 when Tony Romo threw the football 34 times or less.

In 2009, Dallas was 3-4 when Tony Romo threw 35 times or more.

He isn't as accurate on the short stuff and we've done a lot of short stuff the last couple of weeks. He was tossing it to the soft spot in the zone perfectly on Sunday. So, it's not an accuracy issue all over the field obviously.

The Dallas Cowboys are ranked 28th in rushing yards per game in the NFL.

69.5 yards per Game

That should embarrass this organization from top to bottom.

People always point out what kind of accurate QB Romo is. I just can't understand that.

From what i see Romo is able to deliver accurate passes but then again he throws bad ones too. Often his balls are behind the WR and it doesn't seem to get better in the last 2 to 3 years. It's more like getting worse.

He may be able to throw accurate passes but he isn't able to do so on a consistent basis. If you were a hater you could argue he is only lucky on those accurate ones. I for myself think he should put some serious work on that problem. And a problem it is to me. I too think at least two INTs were his fault becuase his pass was not on target.
You do realize that even the best QB's in the league don't complete 30-40% of their passes right?

I'd say that throwing that many passes further solidifies the accuracy statistic. It's impressive to be 67% accurate on 25 passes. It's even more relevant if you're 67% accurate on 50 passes because you have a larger sample size.

Statistically it does look good. Do you guys really feel like Romo is playing great football right not though? Many of those completions are on bubble screens and things of that nature too.

I think he's playing great football. He's slinging it all over the place and his completion % is at an all time high. If it wasn't for two freak INTs or a Roy fumble it was a completely different story.

I think he is playing pretty well, given the circumstances. You can only expect so much from one person. It could be much worse. We could have Eli Manning.

I'm not saying he is playing horrible, just not as good as he should be. A little less might be more.

I agree but also that Romo is forced into this. Given the circumstances Romo has to try for 110% every game right now and eventually, that's going to take it's toll.

Am i the only one who feels Romo's sub par play is a directly link to the real problem with this team, the O-line being god awful?

That's of course a factor but if 700yards in two games is sub par play, that's saying something. :laugh2:

My only complaint about Romo is that occasionally he is scatter armed. He has been propping up that O Line for a long time though, maybe it has worn on him.

Romo is playing some great football right now. He's as accurate as ever. When he gets time, he is incredibly fun to watch. I feel sorry for the people that don't realize what they're seeing.

When we're losing, people will overanalyze and lose track of reality. They'll want to pin down what exactly is wrong with the team. It ain't Romo folks. He's one of the best players on the team and is playing better football than just about anyone else on the team.

We'll, we certainly need him to keep that up.

When I watch our Offense Rich, I don't ever get the sense that we have a good idea of what we are supposed to be. We have a pounding back that we never use to pound with. We have a game breaking back that we never get out in space and throw the ball to. We have 3 WRs that could all stretch the field but we never do that with any of them. We have two TEs who we could pressure the seam with but we never really do that. We have the biggest OL in the NFL but we are throwing the ball, dinking and dunking 50 times a game. It's like we have no identity on Offense. Honestly, I don't know if our guys know who or what they are supposed to be in this offense?

This is best summary of our offensive problems I've read all week.
