Alright.. Normally when I post stuff like this, the shills come out of the woodworks to counter. Here goes anyways.. I rrrrreeallllyyy like this guy. In his limited opportunities with the first team, he has flashed those shades of brilliance. When the rat drafted him last year, I said "why?". I'm sure a number of others did the same. Heck.. They had just drafted RG3 #2 overall! Little did I know that the rat was actually applying some cerebral power to the decision making process.

Here's the kicker.. The DC area is so wrapped up in the side show that is RG3 right now. From the media, team cohesiveness and leadership, game performance perspectives, he is the center of attention. I think the rat made a wrong decision at the beginning of the year letting him come back so quickly from the injury. I would have told RG3 and his delicate personality to sit in the corner for about six weeks and started Kirk without blinking. DC wasn't having any part of that though.. Now it's starting to backfire on them.
This guy would be the perfect successor to Romo. Yes. I know it's taboo to talk about Romo's replacement but I prefer to be somewhat prepared for the future so I think about these things. Cousins reminds me of a young Tom Brady. The comparisons stop there. Note I said a "young Tom Brady" as in the earlier years before he became who he is today. Back then there were flashes that Tom exhibited and I see the same in Kirk. It would be an amazing coup in my opinion if we could somehow pilfer this guy from the Skins via trade. Chop it up.

If the Commanders get a new coach next year he will become their starter. If not i expect any team without a decent qb has picked up on this and he will be had.

No way they get rid of cousins ... He very well may be the better qb right now

Cousins has now become non-expendable due to RGKnee's play. I bet they are teetering on the edge of starting him sooner than later. I still think he starts more years than Robert in Washington.

Besides all of that, by the time Romo is done, Kirk would not be a good replacement, they(Dallas) will have to go younger.

I expect they keep Shanny and go all in with RG3 next year. If someone is giving up a #1 they certainly move Cousins.

Yes, but I don't see them moving him unless that happens. They'll more likely keep him around through his rookie contract and then he'll hit free agency.

Have you guys looked at Romo's new contract?

You guys realize that once he restructures next year (which he will have to since we are $31 million over the projected cap) that his $108 million dollar contract will be between 50-60% guaranteed. You guys realize that if Romo is traded or released that all of that prorated guaranteed money accelerates into our cap.

Dude is going to be playing till he is 40 with that contract.......................there will be no replacement for Romo for a vey long time unless you want to gut the entire roster to do it or have the most expensive backup in NFL history.

RGstayclassy forces a trade next year because he feels threatened and the Raiders give a second up for him. No chance he ends up a Cowboy.

Romo's replacement is still in high school.

Yep, on both counts.

I think (hope) they were kidding. Romo's replacement is closer than ppl like to believe.

Romo isn't playing until he's 40, guys, sorry. His replacement is probably starting for some college program right now. He's not in high school.

One problem. The Commanders would never trade him to Dallas even if he was available. He is not going anywhere, RGKnee won't be around much longer if he keeps getting hit like last night. LOL.

Kirk Cousins = Matt Flynn

I kind of want to agree. But not sure yet. Flynn now has a resume. Cousins has yet to produce one. In limited action, Cousins looks good. But the Skins won't give up Cousins without some compensation. And I don't want the Cowboys helping out the Skins in any way such way or form.

Please. Romo's replacement ain't even born yet son! Romo will be an old man and STILL balling out here in Dallas. He'll be the white/football version of "uncle Drew". :D
