Alright.. Normally when I post stuff like this, the shills come out of the woodworks to counter. Here goes anyways.. I rrrrreeallllyyy like this guy. In his limited opportunities with the first team, he has flashed those shades of brilliance. When the rat drafted him last year, I said "why?". I'm sure a number of others did the same. Heck.. They had just drafted RG3 #2 overall! Little did I know that the rat was actually applying some cerebral power to the decision making process.

Here's the kicker.. The DC area is so wrapped up in the side show that is RG3 right now. From the media, team cohesiveness and leadership, game performance perspectives, he is the center of attention. I think the rat made a wrong decision at the beginning of the year letting him come back so quickly from the injury. I would have told RG3 and his delicate personality to sit in the corner for about six weeks and started Kirk without blinking. DC wasn't having any part of that though.. Now it's starting to backfire on them.
This guy would be the perfect successor to Romo. Yes. I know it's taboo to talk about Romo's replacement but I prefer to be somewhat prepared for the future so I think about these things. Cousins reminds me of a young Tom Brady. The comparisons stop there. Note I said a "young Tom Brady" as in the earlier years before he became who he is today. Back then there were flashes that Tom exhibited and I see the same in Kirk. It would be an amazing coup in my opinion if we could somehow pilfer this guy from the Skins via trade. Chop it up.

i

Cowboys don't sign Commanders. And it's not like the Skins are going to help a division rival out.

I was really high on Matt Glennon coming into this year's draft. It seemed like everyone wrote him off as just another big arm, and completely ignored the fact that his coaches praised his intense dedication to the game. I'm a firm believer in "wasting" a draft pick on a QB every three years (or so) to prepare your team for the future, and I thought he would have been a great guy to let marinate behind Romo. He's quietly having a great rookie season playing a "pro-style" offense -- and he's been doing it in Tampa of all places!!

Romo is 32 and how long is his contract again? Exactly. He doesn't need a successor right now. I will agree that it's time to DRAFT a QB and groom him. Stop with the Matt Moore's, Alex Tanney's, and any other UDFA guys. Romo is an exception, not the rule.

Dallas is not going to give up a #1 draft pick to get Cousins to come in and back up Romo. I suspect in the next couple of years the Cowboys will look to draft a QB and have him behind Romo. As for now only a handful of fans are looking to replace Romo but the Cowboys are not.

How many games has this guy played and what has he shown???

No to that. Yes to Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota or Johnny Football or one of the top QBs in one or two years.

NO to Jameis Winston

I'd take a flyer on Brett Hundley if he comes out this year. If he does, he'd be a steal in the 3rd, if he drops that far. I'd be tempted to drop a 2nd on him.

Yup, guy is a rapist. Why on earth would anyone want a rapist leading this team? Pathetic.

Did I miss the story where it was confirmed that charges would be brought against him? Just checking........ I believe in due process.

I'm telling you. Cousins is the real deal and some team is going to be very happy once he hits the field full time. Perhaps Jerry will work some of his magic.

Good for you. I believe in common sense. Much quicker, less expensive and more accurate.
