do you guys think he might break all the Cowboy QB records before he is done, during the broadcast Aikman was saying that he wouldnt be suprised if all his records were shattered.

the offense we are running seems to be a pass happy offense, mixed with some runs.

i think right now he is in a good situation to make a run, i guess longevity will play a major role.

Hopefully after showing we can run yesterday we mix it up more. I do think he could take the records though.

The running game has to improve and the secondary which has to dramatically improve to be a great team that is what is holding us back

Shoot I'd rather have another superbowl trophy, but that's just me.

Shoot, let's have both!

I think he will end up breaking Troy's records. Today's game is a much more pass friendly game than in years past. And Troy played in a system that relied on Emmitt almost exclusively in the 2nd half. So his passing stats were nothing to write home about.

If he had played in the scheme Garrett has showed thus far, those records would be a lot harder to reach than they will be for Tony.

Imagine Romo with a RB like Emmitt.

Scary

Then again, the way this offense has played in the 1st half, Romo still would be throwing in the 2nd half.

The NFL is much more pass oriented now then back in Aikman's day cause it's much easier/quicker to score through the air. I have no doubt that Romo will own all (except the bad ones) Cowboy QB records before his days are over. The only question will be SB wins. I have no doubt he'll get at least one, but our defense will have to improve for that to happen. Despite all or our hopes that we make the SB this year, I really think our best season will be in 08 which allows Romo another year to mature as a QB, improve our OL & add 2 more needed weapons on offense -- RB & young WR with speed.

He can probably get a few records as long as he doesn't try to make any more tackles.

Team stats are overrated. Do they mean anything at all? Cant think of anything. SB is the only team stat that excites me.

We were lucky to have great QBs who played a team game, had HoF RBs and led balanced attacks. Can you think of 2 QBs less concerned about stats that Troy and Rog? The best thing that could happen is less stats. It would mean more balance and a better team.

The only stat that means anything to me in wins. Troy Aikman was the winningest QB in the 90s. I want Romo to have the highest winning ratio of all time. He doesn't have to have more wins (like the record Favre just broke) Give me Romo and 10 years of 90% winning precentage and I'm happy! In other words, I want Romo to play for 10 years and spit out 144 wins during his 10 years. That will be shy of the NFL record, but I don't want Romo QBing for the Cowboys at 40 years old. I hope we have moved on to a new great QB by then.

The only true stat I care about:

Roger: 2 trophies
Troy: 3 trophies
Romo: ???

90% wining percentage?
yeah thats not going to happen. LOL

i hope for 3:1 win:loss ratio in his career, that would be great!

Unless he gets his career shortened by injury .... he will break all the records for the boys.

Dallas during Aikman's time was not as pass oriented but other teams were more pass happy. SF in the WCO, GB, Houston and Buffalo just to name a few.

Who cares?

Stats are for losers. The only stat that means anything is playoff and Super Bowl wins. Case in point...look who has most of the passing records for the Cowboys. Danny freakin White. How many Super Bowls did he lead the team to? Hall of fame? The only thing that matters is what they do when the season is on the line in a do or die situation. Not how many touchdowns did they throw against 2 win teams during the season. I mean who really cares?

Unless Romo wins the big one or at least a playoff game, he will be a stat machine like Danny White. And a footnote in the Cowboys QB history like Danny White. Nothing more nothing less.
