I agree about Glennon. Think he's one of the better options this year...and have said it before.

Greg Cosell on Glennon: 'I was surprised nobody swung a trade for Glennon this offseason. NFL Films senior producer Greg Cosell called him "far more advanced" than Robert Griffin III, saying "they shouldn't even be in the same discussion." Glennon played behind one of the NFL's worst lines last year and it showed, but his 18 career starts include moments of genuine promise.'

If able to swing a trade, ink Glennon to a reasonably decent deal despite 1-year remaining on his rookie contact. He could essentially kill the proverbial two birds with one stone. At 25 y/o, he's still developing...but also already has starting experience to function as a solid backup while continuing to learn/mature behind Romo. Then keep Moore in the fold, or possibly draft a guy later. One guy I like that could potentially go a bit later in the draft, is Kevin Hogan. Of course, he could also rise with good showings in workouts, at the Senior Bowl, etc.

If you like Wolfpack QB's check out Jacoby Brissett. He can be had in middle rounds of draft. Just like Kevin Hogan.

I think Hogan is the most ready to play of any of the QB's including Goff and Lynch. I would have absolutely no problem in the team going after Glennon and then drafting Hogan in the middle rounds. That enables us to still add two difference makers in the first few rounds including a day one starter on defense in the first round.

ditto. The voice of reason and smart money thinking approach to the QB spot. No way Dallas goes Qb round one.

I like both of them too. Two years under Romo would do them wonders IMO. Stay away from a QB with a high #1 pick!

Everytime I see this logic, it drives me nuts. The team doesn't have to spend a high draft pick on a QB just for the sake of doing it. The Titans (Locker), Jags(Gabbert) and Vikings (Ponder) did this 5 years ago only to turn around and spend another first round pick on a QB a few years later.

If we choose a Jake Locker over a JJ Watt or a Julio Jones just for the sake of drafting a QB early, this team will be doomed.

Actually besides Cam Newton, out of the top teams in the league right now...which one of them has a high draft pick QB that they drafted? Cards? No. Bengals? Patriots? Packers? Vikings? Seahawks? Broncos? Bengals? Jets? Chiefs? Commanders? None of these teams spent a top 10 pick on their QB . Only the Colts and that QB isn't even playing and when he has been playing, he has been awful this season.

I am all for a QB if the player fits the draft slot but I hope this team is smart enough to do what the Raiders did a year ago. Take a player such as Khalil Mack in the first and then turn around and get Carr in the second...or what the Bengals did a few years back when they took AJ Green in the first and Dalton in the second.

Bingo ! Round 1 E.Elliott , Round 2 Carson Wentz

check out this guy at the 320 mark

Of course I hate all things wolfpack but Brissett is a stud.

Im a UNC season ticket holder and know alot about the conference. UNC has multiple players coming out this year that can play.

Landon Turner OG-first rounder
Quinshad Davis WR- broke Hakeems TD record-Tall athletic 6-4 kid. great hands
2 linebackers Jeff Schoettmer and Shak Rashad that are late rounders. Both are light and fast and sure tacklers. prob suited for outside in 4-3 or 3-4. Schott is from Texas and a die hard Dallas fan.
Mack Hollins is a 6'5 gazelle WR. He would be a steal in late rounds or UFA. All he does is stretch the field and score TD's. great hands.
Bug Howard may come out as a Junior. another 6'3ish WR that can play. very similar to Davis.

Mike Glennon of the Bucs. He's stuck behind Jamies. 2016 is the last year of his rookie contract. Trade a 3rd or a 4th for him give him a decent extension. This guy could be really good. He had 19 tds and 9 ints as a rookie on a garbage Bucs team. This guy is better than anyone we could draft this year. I have no doubt that this guy with our oline makes us a playoff team. I truly hope our front office tries to make a run at this guy.

I said this in the offseason. I wanted to trade for him to be the backup. Glad you are onboard!

Oh I agree with pretty much everything you said.

I don't know if you use a high first on a player though to sit behind Romo. I can't think of any time in recent NFL history where a top 10 pick sat on the bench for a couple years. I can remember when Luck was drafted by Colts, they basically showed Peyton the door.

QB is such a gamble, moreso than other positions, that is why I only want a QB in the first if he is a "can't miss" prospect. If there isn't a prospect available worth a first...take one in the second with high upside and let him learn.

outside of OL, what position is this team good at drafting in the first round? CB? DL? RB? LB?

If we're going to draft any qb this year it has to be Paxton Lynch. This guy reminds me of a Taller Cam Newton with better touch in the pocket. Let him sit behind Romo for a few years and be the backup and we'll be ready to move on when Romo retires.

The guy is 6-7" 245 pounds and he can run like Cam and he has a canon for a arm. Lynch or Treadwell would be my top two choices if we're picking in the top 10.

Unfortunately winning that meaningless game against the Skins probably costed us any shot at Lynch without a trade up.

Not saying I am rooting for loses, just talkin about the consequences of winning games when you have no shot at the playoffs. I know the canned response is that tanking is for losers and winning builds a winning culture. With that being said, is being 4-12 instead of 3-13 really building that much more of a winning culture? Would the Carolina Panthers rather have Cam Newton or one more victory that year?

My guess is Cam, but maybe that is just me.
