Has anyone watched the Ron Paul message on the coming currency crisis? It looks like it's a sales pitch for a report on how to weather the crisis. I was just wondering if anyone ordered the report. As of today the Dow is negative for the year and the S & P isn't too far behind. The weekly and monthly charts look pretty bearish.

I meant the thread to be financial. I'm honestly curios what the report said and what anyone's opinion of it was. If this is not the right discussion for the forum please delete it.

I have to agree with mrtxstar every response to the question is going to be quasi-political.

It's not as simple as avoid all political issues. If I see something political, I respond in kind and only I get wacked. The lessoned learned is think as the powers that be think or you will be silenced.

I haven't seen it.
But the eventual currency crisis will happen. I don't see it happening as soon as some think though.
As disastrous as the money printing all around the world has been, I see the Eurozone (Greece, Italy, Spain...then more) and Japan falling really hard before the relatively better US taking its massive lumps.
This stuff will happen over the next 2-4 years...imo.

in general i ignore the CRISIS IS COMING posts from "legitimate" people. if a crisis were coming would you start the stampede to saving yourself or would you do what you had to do to protect you and yours?

the "crisis" has been coming since they were putting ads on matchbooks. sooner or later, when right, they can then say I ALWAYS KNEW!!! :)

I could think of a lot of responses that wouldn't be. "Buy gold" for example.

Buy gold is an ambiguous response that is meaningless isolation. If you are asking something that is going to require a comprehensive response it either is political in nature or will lead to a political tone.

Let me also say I had a lot of remarks about the whole "Ebola crisis" and that was based on fundamental factual retort. Unfortunately in other places that started a big political fracas on another board which IMO was not at all about that but it was a topic some people had to turn into one.

"Yes I saw the message and ordered the report. It recommended buying gold as a hedge against a currency crisis because tangibles have done well historically in the these situtaions".

Then someone will talk about XYZ and how that is associated with whatever they believe. You see what I meant by quasi-political. The conspiracy nuts alone will be on a rampage over statements like that.

Yes, that could easily happen but political or not I am legitimately concerned about finances and since there are a lot of knowledgeable people here I thought they may have some useful ideas.

I'm still waiting for the Jade-Helm jack booted thugs to break down my door.

It's just a scare tactic to put money in his pocket. The US economy is growing albeit slowly but still the best an dost resilient economy in the world. All the doom and gloom predictions are from those with an agenda.
