Rookie Mazi Smith posted 25% pass rush win rate on 8 pass rushing snaps in W4 vs NE

How do you even determine pass rush win rate? Most of these next gen stats are so damn subjective, it's almost pointless to use
I mean you're absolutely right, but what's the alternative? Tough to get analytics on these guys in the trenches. 8 snaps isn't a realistic sample size to go off of, but as you get deeper into the season and you take the win rates from multiple sources you start to get a semi accurate picture.

He's been solid all season, in small doses. He's in a rotation, so that's that. He's gobbling up double teams and you can clearly see this when the linebackers have free lanes to pop a runner. But you have to actually look, because DT's aren't a sexy fantasy football position.

17 snaps?? In a blowout???

Hmmmmmm. I would have expected more.
Not according to the coaches. In our blowouts, we don't play or NTs (Mazi or Hankins) very much.
Week 1 - Hankins 18 / Mazi 17
Week 2 - Hankins 10 / Mazi 11
Week 4 - Hankins 21 / Mazi 17 (And they were both on the field at the same time for a few snaps)

The only "heavy lifting" our NTs did was in Week 3:
Week 3 - Hankins 35 / Mazi 12

It seems once we get a 2 score lead, Quinn likes his passrushers / speed defenders in the game more than the Big Boys.

I am fair less concerned with Smith than I am Schoonmaker.

Smith doing exactly what you want a DT1 to do - generally occupying 2 OL, thus freeing up DT3 and LBs.

There have been many other posts regarding Schoonmaker so I won't belabor the point.

TE is historically one of the slower developing positions. It's extremely rare to have a rookie TE come in and make noise. Pitts was good his rookie season and we haven't seen him since. LaPorta may be special and in a perfect situation. Aside from that most of them level off during the year.

I'm also concerned about Schoon, but expectations for a rookie TE should be tempered.

Tells you what the team thinks of him so far. You would think they would like to give him more work.
Let the rook get six games under his belt. He means a little more this weekend.
