Root of the Rico argument

I don’t get the Rico arguments. None of the TEs are any good. It’s like arguing between Rush and White. They both suck. Flip and coin and put one of the scrubs in. Someone has to suck out there. No use arguing about it.
I disagree, why don’t you start another Rico thread for the day so we can hash it out? ;)

if u go by the typical delegation in an organization, garrett has the say when rico plays.
note that it appears after stephen said good things about rico did rico get more reps.
i suspect that means stephen does not call down from the booth to tell garrett to play rico.

why do many, include i, dont trust this.
one reason is the rumor about rico liking a negative tweet about garrett.
i can just see garrett getting his revenge and exerting his power this way.
It would be the only power he has. I do know that they could call down and talk to him if the wishes. And I am surprised they don’t. Rico may have screwed himself by simply liking a negative comment. After watching Rico only get to work with and against the non starters I wonder if he makes the team. If he does it would be because he is liked by someone. But hey, Linehan loves kellen. Kellen is now the QBs coach. So there is pull with these guys. What a cluster.

Garrett has been coaching his entirely life. He knows (or should know) something about pro football knows what it takes to get to build a a championship team.

However, there are many signs that he hasn't got a clue. He just one of those status quo guys that utter platitudes to the hearts content of the FO and naive fans alike.

He a "coach in training" as what Jerry has mentioned. He should not be.

He also doesn't know his X and Os about football. He should.

He can't adapt or make changes to the playbook. But his the head coach and he should what to do.

Frankly, Garrett is an utter, miserable failure of a head coach. I don't know what value he brings to this team except being Jerry's lapdog.
On the job training making millions of dollars for 8 years. HC of The Dallas Cowboys. Crazy isn’t it. At least he isn’t icing his own kicker anymore. But he has hit his ceiling. Sucks knowing that if we make the playoffs that the players have to win in spite of knowing he will be out coached.

Its sad, very sad. I think that he hit his ceiling the moment he became head coach. I see nothing worthy to proclaimed that he learned anything for the first day he started out as a head coach. In fact, I think he is even more stubborn and resilient in thinking that we much continue on with the process.

for one, we should have kept martyb.
the coaches seem to have trouble with players that are more free spirits like rico, and sour the relationship with these players.
we also should have kept parnell over free.

Marty B was Not staying here.. People need to get over it

And he did run for the hills... Multiple different hills in multiple different coaches and none of those coaches seemed to want to keep him.

AGAIN... people need to get over him.

when young employees think they got the screw in their first job, they often become jaded and bad employees for their future employers

employees can get messed up and become disgruntled for other employees.
that is why many companies prefer virgin employees straight from college.
our company did that in spades starting with interns that get hired if they do well.

I disagree. I don't think companies often prefer virgin employees. we definitely look to hire people with experience so we are not always training someone. we do personality assessment to make sure they fit the culture.

although we do hire interns and new fresh out of college as well....

yes, employees can get messed up. sometimes they are disgruntled like browns...sometimes they just don't fit the culture of a team or any team like Marty B and thus they keep moving around and wear out their welcome.

let not try to blame everything in history of NFL on garrett, a players lack of focus and free spirited and disgruntled, could be the player.

We've given Garrett 8 years to get better, why not give Rico a few games?

Well, if that's all that's required, why not give me a few games? Maybe on the kick off team. I'll play deep, deep, deep safety, and if the returner gets close to me I'll stick out my leg and trip him.

we simply followed the ibm model.
i believe many firms in the asia also follow this as best practice.
the point is that if we had a real head coach, this argument over rico would be moot.
