Rooting for 3-13

Lmao. What is a "real" fan anyways? Wearing this as a badge of honor is so lame. These are professional athletes who don't even know you exist. Millionaires playing for billionaire owners. We owe them zero. Jerry isn't sending you free tickets for being a "real fan". In fact, quite the opposite. He will continue to raise the price on everything related to seeing a game in person.

But hey, "real fans" can come together and sunshine pump.
I was thinking more in the lines of a kumbaya circle jerk.

Real fans want the best for this team. The best thing this team can do to help itself is to get a top 3-8 pick because this front office is inept and can't sign any FAs making our draft so much more important. Maybe hell will freeze over and Jerry will draft an actual QB in the top 10.
Hahahahahahah. Yeah that's not happening. We already have Dak and Lance.

Sounds like gloom and doom but this year looks like we are heading in that direction and may be part of the plan… a top 5 pick and than another high pic in rounds 2 and 3 is a step in the right direction.. couple that with signing quality free agents next year and we could be relevant again and yes… with Dak at QB
Top picks yes but Jerrah and cap boy aren't signing big free agents.

I would favor losing the rest of the way. We need 1) Jerry to get humiliated for his arrogance for this past offseason, 2) high draft picks to add difference makers (team gets credit for generally drafting well), and 3) hopefully be more active in FA next spring.

I don’t root for losing seasons but I sure hope its 3-14 had not 8-9.
If you look at our remaining schedule, do you see another 5 wins? At first I thought home field would give us an advantage this year. But the way we're being run over at home reminds me of the '89 Cowboys.

The way we're playing right now, maybe 2 more wins. A 3rd if Washington doesn't need a win in week 18.

Congrats..

What we hope doesn’t matter but I hope Dallas sucks bad enough to get quality picks and quickly improve.

Being mediocre is the worst spot to be in.
It doesn’t matter where we pick when he drafts a taco over a watt or overdrafts a DT after avoiding taking one for several years

I have 0 faith Jerry can draft anything beyond OL with any degree of success so no I’m not rooting for a losing season if it happens I won’t lose a ton of sleep

The biggest issue with Jerry is what he doesn’t do in the off season not what he does do

We draft probably better than anyone.

If we get multiple picks and free up cap space then it may be our biggest shortcut.

We can’t just do what we are doing and signing Dak has all but locked us into mediocrity unless we have a massive overhaul.

I don’t but at the same time I didn’t see us beating the Steelers….Giants I felt we could beat. Thought the Browns would be tough.

I don’t care what our record is as long as we win the last game of the NFL season

not me.
screw that noise.
i remember 3-13 seasons.
no thanks.
i'm rootin' like hell they win the east.
i'm too fat and old.
the season is too short.
and the off-season too damn long for me to root for loses.
screw that.
screw'm.
screw'm all.
ALL.
screw'm.
GO☆DAMN☆COWBOYS.
I too am too old and a little chubby to be rooting for a losing season, BUT I see another way around all this. Let's hope the NFL investigates and finds that Jerry Snyder was way out of line for threatening radio personalities who were just doing their jobs and forces Jerry to sell the team to Cowboy savior Jimmy Johnson!

I don't care about the pick. It's a nice consolation, but I want to see the Jones family fall so hard on their faces that they have to acknowledge that they've failed. 12-5×3 means nothing if they turn around and post a terrible season after signing their big names to all of that money.

Agreed,
Maybe it will force Jerry to realize he is not good at this GMing thing.

If Dallas finishes 3-14 and DOESN'T draft Kentucky DT Deone Walker, we should all get the pitchforks out and storm the Star. Walker would be a tremendous building block.

We draft OL better than anyone beyond that we’ve lucked into a pick or 2 that we’ve overpaid.

The signing of Dak was one of them but the bigger issues is no efforts in FA to rebuild team.

You cannot field a complete team only through the draft. You just can’t do it in the salary cap era.

The 23 draft is a perfect example of why building solely through the draft sets you back. You cannot miss and as you lose players and don’t replace your team gets worse

You need contribution from both the draft and FA , trades etc.

That said I’m not in support of a tank , soft or otherwise

I’m not opposed to 3-14 if the alternative is between draft pick 12-27. But, I don’t actively root against the Cowboys anyway-just don’t pay them as much attention when they are terrible.

I am with you. but I think we end up 5-12.

btw, you meant 3-14... just saying ;)

It's tough to know how good you are early in the season. Teams you beat might not be as good as expected. The flip side, a team like the Vikings being better than expected.

In hindsight, the best offense we beat in our 3 wins were the Giants. That's how sad our situation is.
