Get ready because it is coming.

I've prepared myself for a lot of disappointment this year.

- Church still being here

- Carr still being here

- No QB at 4 because somehow Romo is going to stay healthy for the next 5 years

- Prescott at 34

- Probably overdraft Elliott in a panic move

All culminating with another disappointing season where Jerry sings the praises of our idiot head coach and we prepare for another offseason led by Garrett.

Man, that is depressing - and most likely accurate.

if we end up with Prescott it better not be earlier than the 4th round. As far as RB how come Johnathan Williams is flying so far under the radar at this point he may be there in the 6th round.

i don't know why you would sign a often injuried player who has lost confidence and is a all world bust.

Hardy is not coming back. Even for $1 a year!

I suspect that's the case but in the end that still leaves a MASSIVE hole in our biggest need........ pass rush............ with little solutions out there.

I would like to see us bring in Hatcher and Fairley if they will come cheap.

Get D Tackle squared away.

FA just started and there's still the draft.

No way no how is Hardy playing for the Cowboys. If you do a little research it's sounding like Hardy is in strong company with Ray Rice. In other words, no team wants to touch him.

Sounding like Thorton is going to be here soon too.

Do some research and you'll see that there are very few options in FA and the draft to fix the pass rush. That's my point. They wouldn't touch Williams at DE and he signed a reasonable contract. They probably won't touch Ayers as he'll get more then Clayborn did (who the Cowboys also apparenlty weren't willing to pay).

The draft? There are mixed reviews on Bosa being a real pass rusher terror or more of a good strong side end. Spence is probably the other option but he's a big character issue. What's left in the draft is just guessing after that for pass rushers.

So it seems our strategy for fixing one of our owner's claimed biggest needs is cross our fingers and hope we get lucky signing some bargain bin DE turns into a 10 sack guy or some rookie taken in the 3rd round develops immediately into a total stud pass rusher.

PS - Thornton would be a decent pick up. But he's a run stuffer more likely to help at the 1 tech. He's in no way a solution to our pass rush problem.

Take a look at Deforest Buckner.

Also, there are always guys in the draft that no one thinks will amount to much that end up being really good players. Like I said there's still plenty of players out there to fill holes. People overreact after day one.

There's really not. You can keep telling yourself that the Cowboys are just going to find that diamond in the rough in the 3rd round who is going to come out as a rookie and solve our pass rush problems. But the odds are stacked against you in a big way.

Buckner isn't a pass rushing 4-3 end either. He's either a 3-4 DE or a 4-3 DT.

No, it's just that at this point, the solution to what our owner called our biggest needs is hope and keep your fingers crossed a miracle drops out of the sky.

And also hope Romo stays healthy and they score 30 points a game.
