Good news. ..The next step is to get a corner out there like Jenkins or Newman to come and cover Roy.

You are correct. They've been doing it for several weeks supposedly. Wish Austin and Crayton would work with them some, too.
Miles should just force his way into the club! He has a great opportunity to start and he needs to aggressively pursue inclusion in the Romo-RW Club, if he's not already doing so.....

lame foot=kill season

I believe Roy had plantar fasciaitis(sp?) which supposedly really does affect one's movement, cutting ability, burst, etc. Mario Williams of the Texans suffered w/ it all throughout his rookie year and he played terrible thus causing everyone in Houston to call him a "bust." Well, his foot healed and look at what a defensive beast he has become! I'm hoping something similar will happen to Roy once his foot heals (which it should be by now).....

and HE SAID it didn't affect him

the evidence you possess is from a far-off distance

I am sorry you could see him try to plant with one foot and he just could not do it. Its either that or he just simply lost all of his athletic ability. I personally will go with the former.

I expect 1,500 yards and 16 TDs this season from 'Ol Roy. :laugh2:

I'm happy to hear about this, but I'm taking a wait and see approach towards the Romo and Roy connection. They just didn't click at all in the body of work they shared. Roy looked better with Brad Johnson. I don't know exactly when he got the foot injury, but the point remains.

our offense stalled because of ROy's foot
Actually, our offense stalled before Roy Williams came aboard. It was one of the reasons everybody on this board was so excited and it was one of the reasons Jerry said he brought in Roy. Jerry didn't say it would take the double-teams off of TO because the offense was producing. The Arizona game was an example of how pathetic the offense had become.Further, Roy's foot problem came later. When Roy first came aboard, he had a couple of nice catches, including the one-hander and the leap in the end-zone. The issue was, per the media, that he was 'learning' the offense. The fact is, he wasn't targetted even when he didn't have a foot problem. Excuse after excuse was made for the offense and when it continued to perform bad, people became scape-goats...

yep this is very good news for the two of them. I believe they'll do very well together.

I go with the fact that Romo just wasn't comfortable with him, noone is pointing to the foot except for particular fans, and it's not out of the realm of possibility that fans make excuses for their players, some of us fans do it all the time

I base my theory on the fact of that one game where Roy was wide open in the endzone, on Tony's side of the field, and it took 5 or 6 seconds before he finally saw him

and we all know how much Tony already was so focused on getting the ball to either TO or Witten, see Pittsburgh game for a better example, Romo looks for the guys he trusts, I don't think he developed much trust with Roy last year, which is why this news is so gratifying to read

the fact that Tony was playing with TO and Witten for a year and a half before Roy came here lends even more credence to my theory, not to mention the most damning evidence of all to your guy's theory, Roy himself saying that the foot didn't bother him, and wasn't a reason for his lack of production

I thought I had read something that indicated that Austin had also been out there working with Romo, but I could be wrong.

I hope you are right! This is Austin's big chance, to go from UDFA to starter, he must cement his spot now and it began once T.O. was cut.

More than anything, I'd like to see/hear about Romo practicing with more than 1 receiver at a time to help rid him of the tunnel vision he exhibits...What's he gonna do when they double up Roy?

Welcome to the zone ---beware Cbz's yard

I hate to correct you but you misunderstood the report. It was stated that his mouth SHOULD be in traction.
