At first i was kind of surprised that Roy made it but after looking at other candidates at SS in the NFC there really isnt any competetion for him so he's kind of in by default... not saying that Roy has had a horrible season or anything but he has gotten beat quite a bit (not all his fault)

The problem with Eagle, er, Dallas fans like you is that you OVERDO IT. You took a nice, competent safety like Roy and tried to turn him into a superstar at his position. You elevated him into something he was not. Hell, you can't even concede that he's bad at pass coverage--a fact readily apparent to all sports writers, opposing offensive coaches, and objective fans everywhere. Not on my watch, kid.

Is Roy a liability or are opinions based on little actual football knowledge taking over and creating a perception that is far from reality when pertaining to ROY in coverage?

It's BS. He isn't as good in coverage, but he's also not bad. He has 5 interceptions, several passes defensed, and he's decent in coverage. The problem is that a lot of idiots out there blame him on plays when he did not have the assignment. I have heard on TV and here several times where he got blamed for blown coverage when it was clearly the CB's fault or the FS (Davis or Watkins).

I think the one area where Roy struggles the most is sometimes he misjudges speed and takes a bad angle on a tackle. He's not nearly as bad in coverage as some people would have you believe, however.
