If anyone can stomach watching a replay, watch on running plays to the defensive left... Roy kept running up and putting a shoulder into a blocker, not even trying to make the tackle.

I mean, just setting his sights on an edge blocker, and running into them, while the RB cut back. Roy didn't care, he didn't even make an attempt at the ball.

I can accept that Roy is hurt, but there's no excuse for what he was doing. Frankly, it looked like he was just frustrated at losing and didn't much care if he made a play on the ballcarrier.

I've loved Roy since college.... But that was inexcusable.

haha name them all? i dont have tivo, i dont have the d/l'd version of the game yet. all i have is the fact roy made 1 tackle. and they ran the ball many many times and werent getting bottled up at the line therefore their backs were breaking to the LBs and secondary and guess what...roy wasnt even making plays then.

I have reserved judgment on this one for a long time b/c I always thought Roy was great.

But I haven't seen him make a dynamic play in six weeks. Time to trade him while we can get something for him

you cant trade roy, it would be a HUGE CAP HIT! HE JUST GOT AN 11 MILLION DOLLAR SIGNING BONUS!

no SS can cover for the amount of times Roy does, which is alot

I would rather have my safeties covering, let the front 7 handle the run (if they are actually good, which on this team, we have to doubt them also). The great defenses in this league have a dominant front 7, we have a team of panzies.

Show some fire and passion, not filling your ballot box for sportsman of the year.

exactly. im not advocating trading/benching/cutting him.

im just saying he needs to step up, be in parcells dog house, and shoulder some blame. he needs to play better put simply.

it's not even an argument, just explaining to you fools why Roy's tackle numbers have decreased, if you had any common sense, or football knowledge, you would understand that

but you being fair to Roy is like asking a Catholic priest to stop eyeing little boys

btw, Roy is just as good in coverage as any SS in the game, just he's out there too much because our FS candidates suck, and is getting exposed

EVERY IDIOT HOMER ON HERE OWES ME AN APOLOGY...I'M WAITING...I TOLD YOU GUYS HOW BAD HE WAS THIS YEAR...

I don't have Tivo, blah blah blah, nice cop-out, if Roy was such a huge liability, that only he deserves to get called out by you, you'd have to remember more than 1 correct instance of him getting taken out of a play

again, the Cowboys put Roy back in deep-coverage because he's our best coverage safety, you don't get many tackles when you're playing way off the LOS, so if all you have to go by is his tackle amount and the rule that if a run D sucks, that all the runs are going to the SS, then you don't have much to go on

again, you still refuse to recognize that there were other players, who played bad today

summer's cool, he just always asks everyone else for this definite play by play proof that he doesn't have himself.

but Roy is great when he's playing close to the LOS, why the hell do you want him in coverage?

ummm i definitely acknowledge there other players that played poorly today. but this thread is about roy, our defensive leader, and plainly you are the one refusing to recognize that he played bad today and has for some time this year. they werent going deep at all this game, they werent streching our d, roy wasnt that far down the field. period. dot com. he coulda made more plays.

Wesbrook once, the FB twice, and I am sure I can go watch the game again:eek: and find more, sorry man but it's the truth,if there was one thing he could do is make tackles, and he was not very good tonight at his strong suit

I'm not the one placing the blame all on Roy

if Roy deserves to get called out, I want to see examples of such

BINGO! but Roy was still in deep coverage for a good portion of the game, that's why they weren't going deep, they saw that we had our D set-up to prevent the big-play, and just went short

If Roy has an injured shoulder, that would explain a lot of what I've seen and haven't seen from him in the past month...he has not been physical at all and avoids the contact he used to fly up looking for.

Of course, if he becomes susceptible to shoulder injuries and losses his physicality, what do we have then?

Umm, cause that is what safeties are supposed to do, cover. If he is great around the LOS and sucks in coverage, make him a LB.

Noone with a brain will blame it ALL on Roy. But he is a big part of the problem.

He is supposed to be the playmaker on our D. Everyone talks about his INTs, but really, INTs are like sacks, overrated (least some of you on this board are under the impression that sacks are overrated, well if they are, INTs are also).

All that means is that Ware's small number of sacks makes sacks overated, but Roy's INTs makes INTs a big stat. You can't have it both ways, but some of you want to defend both of them that way.
