Roy Williams has Fallen Off

I agree, but what about the WHOLE defense?


Roy hasn't fallen off any more then anyone else on D. The whole defense has turned to complete crap, and the reason for it is Zimmer.

just look at how he favors one of his shoulders when he runs and tackles

last time i checked a bum shoulder doesnt explain being out of position half of the time in coverage. getting beat deep consistently. that may explain his not fending off blocks better but still at this point in the season everyone has a bum something.

He just hasn't been the same dominating force in the running game this year that he has been in the past. He's never had great pass coverage skills, but he usually makes up for that. This year not so much.

again, why is Roy only being called out? and what TD pass was he out of position on?

roy is the leader of our defense for one. everyones excuse for him before was well hes not great in coverage but hes a beast against the run. he didnt do that tonight and hasnt. he had one tackle. had no effect on the game and had plenty of chances.

and i believe he was out of position on the first touchdown pass over the top getting there late.

I have to agree, I have always stood up for Roy, but today I see a R.W. I don't recognize. This is the kind of game where he should be playing ferocious and lifting the D, unfortunately he is leading the Lazy train .

ok then are you satisfied with the job he has done in coverage this year??? if you're really making that argument i think even roy would tell you you would lose.

and teams are running right at him...all the runs went right today...he just isnt the same player...and still cant cover, wish we could move him like i said earlier and the idiots blasted me showing their ignorance...

agreed. but no one on our defense is considered the leader roy is or is rated as high as roy is except for maybe dware, who is the only one playing well. therefore, roy gets called out.

its already a given zimmer is terrible, hes not being overrated by the entire league however.

what chances has he had? he's been in coverage for most of the game, and the Eagles have been dinking and dunking for most of the day, so again, why is Roy being called out? the team has given up 200 yards rushing, they weren't all at Roy

seeing that Roy had to turn around to get there, I dont' think he was providing safety help

summer, you have always defended roy, always.

Its time to see what he is without those roy colored glasses you have worn for years. I still want a safety who can cover, FS or SS, doesnt' matter to me. Give me a safety that can cover, and that ain't what Roy is. All a run stopping safety is good for is if your front 7 is below average.

Give me someone that shows real passion and fire on the field. We have a bunch of panzies.

we dont have better options. im just saying he needs to take a lot of the blame for the Ds poor performance and should do so willingly instead of making excuses like a pop warner kid does to his friends.
