Seriously, what do with do with such a low-achiever? Such a whiner and a complainer?
(Yes a whiner and a complainer; you see he always goes to the edge. For example, he will say that the QB is not giving him enough looks. then he will backtrack and say everbody needs looks and his chances will come. Another time he will say sarcastically that he really sucks [he does] and then backtrack and say he is just trying very hard. Then he will say the QB and the staff don't have confidence in him and then come from the very edge and explain that he will have to win their confidence back. You see, with RW, it is brinksmanship with words.)
But it is always the same ol Roy. Weak, unmotivated and with plenty of excuses.

Could we just dump him and eat his salary?
Could we trade him for . . . a 6th round draft choice?
Could we make him very expensive camp and team fodder?
Could we trade him to Permian High School for a roll of tape?

What can we do with this almost-average player?

Crayton, Ogle and Phillips deserve a chance to contribute.

This team is on a roll. It is peaking. And RW has totally missed the team bus.

They are finally going about it the right way and rotating him in and out.

The part I dont want to see if Crayton get moved out of the slot.

He is an ok outside receiver but he is a dynamic slot receiver.

Rotate Ogletree, Roy, and Sam Hurd on the outside.

I heard TheFan say that The eagles surprisingly game planed and kept the safety over the top to eliminate Roy. Perhaps trickeration? Perhaps trying to psyche him out or get him rusty for when they do the opposite the next week?

I posted this last night...but there were a couple of times that he was open in the end zone. One of them Tony threw the ball out of bounds (probably thinking that Williams would take the outside) when he had the corner beat to the middle, and the other was I think the play that Tony threw the pick. He had man coverage and was free to the back pilon.

$26.6085 million guaranteed.

You find a way in the offseason to get him involved in the Offense. He's going nowhere so get used to it people. That's not gonna change any time soon no matter how many threads are started on the subject. It's up to Red J, Roy and Tony to figure out how to get it done, but it doesn't look like it will be this season.

tony doesn't look at him, it woudln't bother me if it he stopped looking, it just seems like he never has looked Roy's way.

I get never is a strong word, but I still think there is a mental block in Romo's brain.

He seems to like guys like ogletree, I wonder what the deal is.

Back when we had keyshawn, didn't it take a while before Romo would just throw the ball to Key regardless of how it looked? Keyshawn and Roy are similar, roy is a lot faster though.

I know RW is not doing anything, but do you really want that?

Nothing.

Roy Williams is a medicore wide receiver but you don't make too many changes with a team this hot.

You hope that teams will key on Miles Austin and therefore give Roy Williams opportunities to make plays on lesser Corners.

At this point, there is no proof that he absolutely killing the Offense, so there is no need to make a drastic move at this point.

Roy is not a mediocre wide receiver and he never was one.

The Star on his helmet didn't render him unable to play.

How much do we wish we would have given up a first and third when the cardinals were asking for it for bolden. Would have made this offense unstoppable. But instead we give it up for roy. But nobody ever knows how things will work out. I used to think roy was a great receiver on a bad team in detroit. Looks like i was wrong.

Also, how nice would it have been to go back and make that bennet trade we were offered early in the year. The guy has done NOTHING all year long and phillips is starting to come along.

Maikeru-sama is right: don't upset the applecart for now. BUT the iggles will double Austin this week, you can count on that, and RW will have to make plays or we'll have some problems....hate to say it, but we still need him like it or not....

He is a Cowboy brother. You stand by him and get him through this.

Your my Bro from wayyyyyyyy back and all, BUT SCREW THAT! This guy Roy is a BUM. Sets a terrible example for the rest of the team. Retains his starting job when he cant even run proper routes. Others on the team could see this situation as a "well what about roy" type thing. Roy starts because of his name only, so why should we fight our guts out. CANT have that. Not good at all. I say we give at least half his reps to O Tree. Besides,...one of these games when he runs YET ANOTHER lazy route its going to cost us a pick six. Cant afford those now.

Yes he is.

I don't care about his feats of greatness at Texas or Detroit.

In Dallas, he has been extremely mediocre.

However, at this point, there is absolutely no reason to bench him or make any other drastic change.

I still like Roy Williams against lesser corners or when he has 1-1 Coverage.
