Roy Williams has totally disappeared from the game plan. What do we do wit him?

How much do we wish we would have given up a first and third when the cardinals were asking for it for bolden. Would have made this offense unstoppable. But instead we give it up for roy. But nobody ever knows how things will work out. I used to think roy was a great receiver on a bad team in detroit. Looks like i was wrong.

Also, how nice would it have been to go back and make that bennet trade we were offered early in the year. The guy has done NOTHING all year long and phillips is starting to come along.

Don't blame yourself, bro. RW fooled a lot of people. Me, included. I figured RW would step in and have numbers like T.O. Or at the very least be a great decoy to open up lanes and throws for Crayton.

I don't fault Jerra or Wade or nobody on the RW trade.
Wishing that trade to be undone is silly, but now comes the hard part. How to unload this um, unmotivated player. Clearly, there is a backlog of receivers waiting for their chance. RW is just delaying their maturation.

Your my Bro from wayyyyyyyy back and all, BUT SCREW THAT! This guy Roy is a BUM. Sets a terrible example for the rest of the team. Retains his starting job when he cant even run proper routes. Others on the team could see this situation as a "well what about roy" type thing. Roy starts because of his name only, so why should we fight our guts out. CANT have that. Not good at all. I say we give at least half his reps to O Tree. Besides,...one of these games when he runs YET ANOTHER lazy route its going to cost us a pick six. Cant afford those now.

Yes he is.

I don't care about his feats of greatness at Texas or Detroit.

In Dallas, he has been extremely mediocre.

However, at this point, there is absolutely no reason to bench him or make any other drastic change.

I still like Roy Williams against lesser corners or when he has 1-1 Coverage.

Actually, he has been FAR LESS than mediocre when you look at his stats/production. Mediocre would be a STEP UP compared to what he has done since coming to Dallas.

sorry, I don't subscribe to the "what have you done for me lately" idea about players.

Roy can play, always could. He flashes here at times.

Honestly, if he pulls it together and Romo and he Iron out their differences Austin and Williams complement each other perfectly.

I am going to get blasted but I kinda wish kitna got some time in the 4th last game. Might have been good for Roy.

I for one do not want to continue playing shorthanded on offense. As it sits right now with Roy its almost like were playing with only ten men instead of 11. Imagine what we could do with the full 11? LOL Besides, O Tree is a gamer with good speed, can help us open things up. NOT saying to totally bench Roy, but take away HALF his reps?...YUP...YOU BET! And Roy has EARNED every bit of it~!

The problem with RW is that Romo just doesn't know where he's going to be. On quick routes, where there's less chance of RW wandering, he does fine. On longer patterns, we wobbles off course or fools Romo into thinking he's going one way but ends up going another.

Compare that with Ogletree, who is just about always where Romo thinks he's going to be. They have a rapport that goes back to preseason.

I'm not saying RW can or should be replaced at this point in the season, but they have to use him in ways that optimize his strong points. Quick slants, quick outs and mid-range possession passes.

They are finally going about it the right way and rotating him in and out.

The part I dont want to see if Crayton get moved out of the slot.

He is an ok outside receiver but he is a dynamic slot receiver.

Rotate Ogletree, Roy, and Sam Hurd on the outside.

Berman was commenting this morning on how Crayton was 18 yards downfield before he ran into an Eagle yesterday.

I know RW is not doing anything, but do you really want that?

Yes, I really do. I think Marshall would be very happy down here and he's an elite WR right now.

You guys do know the Eagles rolled a safety over to RW11's side.

Now I am not saying this was a smart move on their part. I guess they watched film of RW11 at Texas.

But this did free up Witten.

Roy has a HO HUM sense of entitlement attitude IMO. Most probably started back in his Permian days. The ....oh i had a drop....SORRY attitude gets old very fast. There is true courage and then there is FALSE BRAVADO. Roy 11 is filled with the latter.

I heard TheFan say that The eagles surprisingly game planed and kept the safety over the top to eliminate Roy. Perhaps trickeration? Perhaps trying to psyche him out or get him rusty for when they do the opposite the next week?

If that is the case, then great, hope they do it again because our offense was rolling like that.

They have to be on the same page on the blitz though or Romo will have a long day with him. He has to catch that slant!, period.

I don't get this, you get all the head cases off your team, and your team thrives, and yet you want to go after another one.

Are you for real?

Mickey did mention that but he said they did the same thing for Miles Austin and we don't know how many times they did it.

This is odd given the fact that Troy Aikman said Sean McDermott didn't even mention Roy Williams when asked about how to stop the Cowboys Offense.

Hey man, Happy Happy to you and the old gang! :D

I know you are a very knowledgable football person but the fact is... Roy is a quality WR. His problem right now is confidence and route running.

I believe he did but that is no longer. That is going to be why he gets it on track.

I think he is past the wise crack responses too.

Bottom line: He doesnt want to play poorly. He just is. HE can fix it. It starts this weekend.

I do like KO also. Another great undrafted find.

Who CARES whats good for Roy??? I care about whats good for the T E A M over anybody and anything. Heres the deal....To me it seems the entire staff and team have went out of their way to try and integrate Roy into the offense. Have bent over backwards. ENUFF ALREADY!!! Any of you have kids? Ever been in a situation where you are trying to get a kid to do something but you have to keep explaining things so much you finally just throw your hands up in the air and DO IT YOURSELF?!!! THATS Roy Williams. Sorry, but it just not supposed to be THIS HARD/ THIS much work. Cant keep wasting all this time trying to integrate one player who just doesnt GET IT. Shouldnt have to either. For my money Roy can take the first CAMEL out of dallas and stay gone...LOL

Number one reason why Ive never liked Williams as a football player......Lazy routes. WORST thing you can do. Biggest NO NO ever as a w.r. C,mon guys.....think back to the 90;s when Norv was running this offense. A W.R HAD BEST run his route to the proper depth without rounding it off TO THE INCH! If he didnt he wasnt gonna play for Norv. Norv would have sat this clown long ago. Because if he doesnt run correct routes he cant be trusted. And if he cant be trusted........WHAT GOOD IS HE>? End of story.

And this is WHY Romo doesnt look his way. Cant trust him. Only thing that prevents Roy from being a good w.r is his own LAZYNESS. Think about that a second, let it sink in real good. Pretty sickening isnt it.
