Roy Williams hits

He was super fun to watch for a few years.

I will always remember the play where he grabbed a Pick 6 off on McNabb to win a MNF game.
What he was best at is making the opponent crap his pants. I remember a receiver going back to the huddle yelling at the QB, You have to know where that guy is. Are you trying to get me killed?

He fizzled over time, but he wasnt a 1 hit wonder like some here claim. Losing Woodson alongside him after 2 seasons didnt help. He wasnt always a liability in coverage either...

I smell some Longhorn fans still upset over the goal line Superman play.

All illegal today pretty much.

This gets me pumped about Caleb Downs. Obviously the hits won’t be there but we haven’t had a dominant safety since Woodson and Williams. I’ve missed the dominant Safety. Looking forward to seeing it this season.

His arm wouldn’t heal. Kept getting broken.

Yes they do. His sideline "shut your mouth" hit on Amani Toomer was gold Jerry! Toomer had trouble seeing out of his chin strap.

I think Roy Williams went downhill from being one of the most feared hard hitters in the league when he went up against RB Ricky Williams of the Saints. Ricky seemed unfazed and kept running every time Roy torpedoed him. I think it broke Roy's spirit and confidence and the ineffective tackling against Ricky stunned him. Ricky Williams was a human brick wall.
