I can't blame any Cowboys player for being thin skinned with the local Dallas media. Most of them couldn't write their way out of a wet paper bag and are at times, extremely unprofessional. So they resort to cheap shots and "writing something controversial for the sake of controversy" so people will read their columns, click onto their blogs, watch their TV appearances, listen to them on the radio, etc.
JJT called him a thief and numerous writers have questioned his heart and speculated that his religious beliefs have hurt his career.
Remember, Roy has worked the hardest in this offseason than he ever has (shown by the ESPN bi on his workouts) and to do that, Roy showed up far earlier to workout than the rest of the team. Yet, the beat writers still claimed that Roy was taking it easy and being distant from his teammates.
To me, thin skinned would be more along the lines of a writer saying Roy is overrated and Roy taking exception to that. But when you're getting constantly barraged with lies and blatant mistruths and you snap back at it, I think I look at it more as sticking up for yourself.
