IMHO my mother is a singer and I learned that you can't have two divas in the same show, Roy shows the same fire Michael had and maybe he'll be the emotional firem to get Romo going as Mike was to Troy. He is not competing with T.O.'s domineering (selfish)personality this year and will be able to be himself. Lets hope.

MAybe I'm losing my mind but I keep getting the impression from numerous articles from many of our favorite writers (including Rafeal Vela) that Roy is basically another Keyshawn, with just a little more speed of course. But, I don't get the impression from anyone that he can be a home-run threat like T.O. Personally, I think he can, ESPECIALLY is he's fully recovered from that foot injury.

It's also the TO whineologists saying we lost "talent," which equates to speed for most. They seem to forget he has to catch the ball 1st. Roy can catch and run so it's win win for 09...

I am not sold on it either.

I am simply suggesting we don't need to turn RW into Joey Galloway. Fitzgerald isn't all that fast. But it doesn't matter. RW uses his body well and doesn't need to be 3 yards away from a defender to make a catch.

And to be clear I expect Felix Jones to give teams headaches and Austin, whenever he is the game, to stretch the field. But I am fine playing old school first down football and that's what I grew up with. It worked for the 90's Cowboys who had the "slow" but indefensible Michael Irvin.

I would love to see that too......but we need to have a dominate OL to make that work....and from what I witnessed last year.....IMHO I dont think we have the horses up front to have a serious smash mouth running game. I think this OL is a better pass protection group then a run blocking group......I hope Im wrong....I really do and I hope Houck does a great job coaching......because if not....this team will struggle in becomming a old school first down team.

Not a whole lot of peoplewill catch Roy from behind. Once he gets going he probably will take it to the house. The key is he is not that quick so he is not going to explode on plays. Neither did Irvin. Its all on how you work the field and the plays.

Roy does not not separate very well, neither does Crayton,Stanback, or Hurd, Austin does sometimes but he's a goof ball when the ball is in the air sometimes.

Witten separates better than Roy, and Witten is slow.

But Witten is quick and as good as you can get at running routes.

I like hearing Roy is busting his butt this offseason already. Im excited to see what he does next year.

Very. One of the things I'm most looking forward to.

(Behind seeing Choice, Barber, and Felix all get carries.)

I wonder if Roy is fast enough to cross the field and catch up to Miles Austin to provide blocks so he can score a TD. Or to run stride for stride with Felix Jones to give him protecting going into the endzone on a 60+yd TD run.

in Detroit, they just threw the ball up to him in fade routes and other plays. he wasn't really a possession receiver, was he?

it was more, Calvin Johnson who had the speed and played more of a possession receive.

Correct me if I'm wrong here.
