Im so over TO. I enjoyed him while he was here but its to the point I could care less what he is doing in way up there.

I am too. He is gone. We didnt win anything with him. Our fault and his.
I have zero interest in TO now.

While I believe Roy can be a great contributor... I do wish he had some more of TO's yards. The difference in the Broncos and atleast one of the Giants games... most likely this past game. Coulda got that 1st down when we needed it. Bring on Game 3 vs Giants.

So, are you saying that Roy's lack of yardage lost those games?

Definitely worth noting that most of the Owens suckamaniacs said that Romo was only good because of Owens.

Of course Roy hasn't had Fitzpatrick and Edwards trying to get him the ball either.

But I thought the thinking was that Owens made Romo look great.

Hmm, I guess not.

Owens + Crayton gave Romo the best regular season by a QB wearing a star, EVER.

Austin + Williams is not, still good numbers none the less Also, the record is definitely a little different.

I think we can all agree Austin and Williams are on par in skill level with the development that Austin has undergone. Owens and Crayton? ....

Well those guys are IDIOTS too. I said the cowboys would go 9-1/8-2 the first 10 games without TO. I was wrong, but that was my expectations. I was upset about the TO releasing because no matter how you spin it...ROMO TO TO was a killer combination, a better combination than ROMO and Williams.

This has not been proven one way or the other yet. But it has been proven that Owens made it unnecessarily harder on Romo than a receiver should, even his boy Michael Irvin admits that.

If T.O. were still here, then Austin wouldn't be having the break-out season he's having. T.O. and Roy would be starting, and Austin would be the #3b.

Actually Roy was on the team last year as one of the starting WRs. He has picked up his game this year over last year.

Miles Austin is the guy who has effectively replaced Owens. He was not the starter for the first 4 games. But has been ever since. 5 of his receptions, 81 yards, and 1 TD happened in those first 4 games when Patrick Crayton was starting.

52 receptions
928 yards
17.8 ypc
9 TDs

That is the true comparison to be made to Owens stats. The retort will be he plays on a horrible team with a sub par QB. Whose fault is that? He deserves it.

Way to take a partial statment. I was upset because I feel we got worse on the field, not because I love TO.

Whether he deserves it or not does not change the truth behind the retort. You basically acknowledged the truth behind it. LOL Thats why I respect you Hos, you dont even try to mask your disdain for the guy.

I don't dislike him man. I have talked to him twice. He's not a bad guy. I just don't like what he brought to the table in 2008 and am glad he is gone. I would feel the same about any piece of crap who ran down the coaches and acted as he did.

I am every bit as glad Tank Johnson is gone as I am TO is gone. He openly stated his desire to get out of here.

I am every bit as glad Brad Johnson is gone as I am TO is gone. He was the snitch who turned on TO.

I am every bit as glad Pacman is gone as I am TO is gone. He was handed the brass ring and he still had to tilt the vodka bottle into his mouth.

TO, like these other idiots crapped in his nest. His being gone is his fault and his alone. He demands respect, but he does not give it. Find me where in 2006 or 2007 I had anything bad to say about him. I can even show you where I defended him against the media onslaught of 2008. Right up until his interview with Deion. That crossed the line. He is worthless to a team looking to win it all. Jerry was right to bounce his drama queen *** to the curb.

End of story.

All I care about is RW coming around and producing with Romo. I do think this is taking place and while it has taken awhile I say better late than never. As for TO he is no longer our problem, while he was here he did some good things for that I thank him but he also caused some rifts with key people on our offense.

Did not accuse you of loving T.O.

And as far as getting "worse" on the field ....... how? We are 8-4 just like last year.

Owens was not a difference maker anymore ..... he was a stat maker .... and now he is not even that.

The key stat is

36 vs. 27.

Roy Williams is 27 years old, entering his prime, and has the ability to put up numbers as good or better as he has this year for several more seasons.

TO is 36 and will continue on his 2 year downward trend next year.

Are all of RW's touchdowns in the last 6 weeks?

I think since week 7 or so the only game he didn't have a TD catch was against Washington.

Well I really cant say if the trade and release was worth it but here are the season stats thru 12 games....

Terrell Owen
Rec: 43
Yards: 690
Avg: 16
TD: 3

Roy Williams
Rec: 32
YArds: 504
Avg: 15.8
TD: 6

I still would rather have the current locker room as opposed to the T.O. locker room. So if the trade off is 11 catches and 186 yards while adding 3 more TDs that T.O. then I say thumbs up to releasing him. But RW stats still dont add up to the ransom we paid to get him and then keep him!

Advantage Roy!

First of all i want to state that i am happy that TO is gone. I wouldn't go so far to call him a lockerroom cancer or team oblitarator but i think for the chemistry and especially for Romo and Garrett TO was not really positiv.

It wasn't not all TOs fault. Alot of power was given to him because he was a pick made by JJ. So if Garrett or Romo dealt with TO they had to deal with JJ too. That made it alot more complicated.

But now to your post:

I think you can't really compare TOs stats in Buffalo against RW here in Dallas. To be more fair you should compare TOs last years stats against RW. Just because Buffalo's offense doesn't have all the weapons that can make a WRs life much more easy.

If you want to be more precise you should compute the average stats of TOs years here in Dallas and compare it with RWs. MAybe leave RW stats from last year out just because he hadn't a full training camp to get knowledge of the offense. I think that will help alot in comapring both players and their accomplishements.
