The key stat is

36 vs. 27.

Roy Williams is 27 years old, entering his prime, and has the ability to put up numbers as good or better as he has this year for several more seasons.

TO is 36 and will continue on his 2 year downward trend next year.

This.

Assuming we wish to keep Roy and Austin, both will be here for the tenure of Romo's career.

They'll only improve as they get more reps with Romo.

Owens is at the end of his career and we'd be replacing him within a couple of years.

While we gave up a lot for Roy, and the return has been questionable to date.... if Roy continues to improve and perform like he's done for the past couple of weeks (for the most part), we'll be ok.

A trio of receiving options of Austin, Williams, and Witten makes me very pleased for the future. And if Roy is the worst of the 3, we're in pretty good shape.

Definitely worth noting that most of the Owens suckamaniacs said that Romo was only good because of Owens.

Exactly.

Of course Roy hasn't had Fitzpatrick and Edwards trying to get him the ball either.

Funny cause all I heard from the moment TO was cut was how Romo was going to be horrible, how he'd suck, and how it would be proven that he was only thought to be good because of TO.

Now you're saying that TO was able to put up numbers with Romo, who sucked according to most big time TO backers, but he can't put them up with another QB who sucks?

Interesting.

Im so over TO. I enjoyed him while he was here but its to the point I could care less what he is doing in way up there.

That's where I'm at for the most part. I think the guy was a great addition, on the field, while here and I enjoyed watching him play. Always have and always will.

I'm just not upset that he's gone.

Definitely worth noting Willliams has Romo! Just say I dont like TO, but dont come with these weak arguments.

Again, as I said before, it seems like the vast majority of TO fans thought Romo was only thought to be good cause of TO. Most of them told us all how Romo would prove to be a crappy QB without TO.

Funny how now, when that turned out to be total crap, people are trying to say TO's lack of production is because he's got a crappy QB in Buffalo but he had a good one here.

Exactly. That's all you heard from the vast majority of them after he was released was that Romo would be proven to be complete crap without him.

Outstanding point. You have to factor in more than just the follow year when these kinds of moves are made. TO is, without a doubt, at the twilight of his career. Williams is just now about to enter the prime of his.

Huge difference.

Exactly how I feel about it as well. This gives us a receiving group of Austin, Williams, and Witten to keep around a still realitively young, Romo for several years. That's a very exciting possibility to me.

I don't dislike him man. I have talked to him twice. He's not a bad guy. I just don't like what he brought to the table in 2008 and am glad he is gone. I would feel the same about any piece of crap who ran down the coaches and acted as he did.

I am every bit as glad Tank Johnson is gone as I am TO is gone. He openly stated his desire to get out of here.

I am every bit as glad Brad Johnson is gone as I am TO is gone. He was the snitch who turned on TO.

I am every bit as glad Pacman is gone as I am TO is gone. He was handed the brass ring and he still had to tilt the vodka bottle into his mouth.

TO, like these other idiots crapped in his nest. His being gone is his fault and his alone. He demands respect, but he does not give it. Find me where in 2006 or 2007 I had anything bad to say about him. I can even show you where I defended him against the media onslaught of 2008. Right up until his interview with Deion. That crossed the line. He is worthless to a team looking to win it all. Jerry was right to bounce his drama queen *** to the curb.

End of story.

We all know TO is a tremendous talent. HOF talent. What the TO fans refuse to acknowledge is that he is on his fourth team.

Please tell me why such a talent is in Buffalo? Of all the teams that could use this talent why was Buffalo the only team to offer him a contract and a one year one at that?

You know if Dallas had released Owens and the next thing you know several of the top franchises in the NFL were in a bidding war to get him, I would have to acknowledge that my perception of him may have been a little off.

My perception of him is backed up by 31 NFL GMs.

I agree and have asked that question many times. Just the fact that 3 other teams had enough and were willing to walk away from the talent he does have, Dallas being the last of them and on top that willing to eat 9 million should say alot and as you mention there has not been a big bidding war for TO when he has been released from other teams.

If T.O. were still here, then Austin wouldn't be having the break-out season he's having. T.O. and Roy would be starting, and Austin would be the #3b.

And we'd probably be a .500 ball club.

So, are you saying that Roy's lack of yardage lost those games?

Absolutely. He dropped too many passes. That did contribute to the losses.

You didnt really need me to answer that did you?
