Ellington could gum up the whole thing. I mean who wants to go play in MN they are still 2-3 years away from anything resembling contention.

The only thing that doesn't make sense, is the belief that the Vikings would gift wrap Peterson for us.

So to answer your question, Arizona is open to the idea of trading for Peterson because on the open market, the have to compete with several teams and he likely prefers Dallas. And outside of you wanting him in Dallas, why should thy take that chance?

Where in my post did I state that this had anything to do with me wanting Peterson? I want Peterson if we go through FA and the draft without grabbing an RB, I don't want to trade for Peterson.

And no, they will not have to compete for Peterson. This is June 1st, most teams in the league will have found their RB by ghdn; some may not want to bring in a 30 year old QB. There isn't going to be several teams bidding hard for him.

And no one even made the claim that he would be gift wrapped for us. I have no idea where you're pulling any of this from. You don't give up high draft picks for an RB while taking on his gigantic contract. It makes no sense.

Man, if Palmer can actually stay healthy next year that team will be something.

Nah.... I saw Palmer coming back reality BEFORE the injury.

He ain't the guy to take you through season, post season.. Super Bowl.

Seems ap has cards and colts ahead of us on his list of trade partners. Makes sense. We aren't going to offer a crazy amount to him. I love ap but I don't want to mortgage our future for 1-2 great years.

So if Murray signs with JAX and AP is traded to Arizona. Will some on here explode we didn't trade for him....I can see 15,000 threads ready to go.....

Yeah but trading for him in my view would be a mistake. If AP were to come to Dallas it would need to be on the so called hometown discount, which I never bought into to begin with. As for giving up youth for a 30 year old RB? No way
