Rumor: Brockers on the block; Cowboys Mentioned *Merge*

What is brokers going to do for this team?

Sure isn't going to help the pass rush

Well, he did have 5 1/2 sacks in 2013 and 4 the previous year (but just 3 last year). At his size, he might make for a good 1-tech, but I certainly wouldn't trade a first-round pick for a 1-tech.

Get Brockers, throw in this year's first and second, and trade it all to Minn for AP...

See, now that's thinking big. After that, hire someone to "massage" Romo's back with a tire iron, uncover the lost Dez tape, get the league to extend Hardy's suspension to 14 games and we'll be just about set.

Precisely...if we can get him for less than a 1st that's a different story

Wouldn't matter. We'd still have AP, so we win.

Sign me up. Give up a 3rd for him, then we would be able to exercise his 5th year option. Perfect.

According to a report by NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Cowboys are out of the Peterson sweepstakes:

While Rapoport thinks the Arizona Cardinals may tempt them it was reported elsewhere yesterday that they have been priced out as well.

9:11 AM - 27 Apr 2015 On an Adrian Peterson trade: #Cowboys are out. #Vikings don’t want to move Peterson. But could #AZCardinals tempt em? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000488251/article/dallas-cowboys-not-in-running-for-adrian-peterson…

I’ve read that the Vikings wanted a first round pick and a starting cornerback in exchange for Peterson but more often I’ve read that they are refusing to deal Peterson on principle.

Either AD will play for the Vikings next season, or he won’t play at all.

lol what?

Brockers as a draft prospect graded out higher than any of the rookies in this class and has been a very productive DT now for the last 3 season. Given his age of 24 I would give up a 1st to get him.

I liked Brockers and also feel Leonard Williams is a tad over rated, but I can't imagine anyone saying Brockers was a better prospect, even if the draft itself was stronger.

productive? not where we need it which is pass rush. Head back to your bong

While my Ricky Williams comment was in jest, and I'm only lukewarm on the prospect of trading for Brockers, I'd have to say there is no where on our defense that we don't need any type of production. Run defense was far from dominant.

He graded out higher than any of the defensive line players in this draft by a good margin. Williams grades out at a 7.5 Brockers as a prospect graded out at 9.0.

up yours. Brockers as a DT at 322 is a very disruptive players. He is not an outside pass rusher he is a strong player up the middle. Try getting your head out of your backside for a change

Brockers has been productive as a run stuffer on that team, not so much in the pass rush department.

I would give up a 3rd for him. Reason being we have to pay him the 5th year option and then resign him.

Maybe a 2nd because we do get him for one year at a true rookie price. I wont give up a first for anyone I am losing cap room for.

That seems to be how Dallas views trading picks, but because they will have a full season with a rookie salary they may have legit interest

You are not going to get many DT who are outstanding Pass rusher, Suh maybe the best but his number for getting to the QB are a lot less than DE and the job of DE get much easier when you have strong guys inside collapsing the pocket

Don't trade for a guy who needs a new deal. If you want to spend $, use it on an unrestricted free agent.

Hardy-Crawford-Brockers-Lawrence

Um yes. Give up a 3rd and Mo. Actually just package Mo with any sort of draft picks.
